I guess extreme driving conditions are a good laboratory for determining the viability of a "performance shop's" expertise also.

Bwaaahah. The emperor really does have no clothes.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

Might be worth looking into this web page or its owner. I think the page is "old", but the Geoff Brabham Q is for sale on it .

Was this recently? Just curious.

Sounds like they want to sell it real bad. <heavy sarcasm>

Ok, I think I got it. The first picture should be attached. The picture predates the cage and several other modifications. It is taken at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) just north of the North Carolina border. July 29, 2000.

Thanks! The wheels are 17" Momo, Arrow I think. I have as set of ten. Remember I was driving my stock and modified on the same weekend. That left me two as spare.

Because of the excessive roll (due to extreme weight and getting aggressive on the turns) I tried to get 18". They had been discontinued. After Stillen wouldn't help, I went looking on my own but could never find 4 together. Finally opted for something less -- read "cheap"!

What's the graphic on the fender? Do you have a shot of the roll cage?

Believe it or not but it says "Stillen". The rear says "Dupont". In the early days Stillen was proposing to put z picture of the vehicle in their catalog, but when my "agent" left that all fell through.

I am not very organized at the moment -- I really am in Afghanistan. I will continue to peacemill my responses. I do have an idea that I should start a new thread and tell the WHOLE story. My problem is I get carried away, and the story will start with my childhood.

Seriously, it's a long story that includes a J, 3-Qs, a G, and a QX4.

Well, many things to complete yet today. I'll be back on later.

Wow, what a nice thing to say. I have been working on this car for years and have had no interest from Infiniti and the early interest from Stillen disappeared once they had the change of staff, about a year into it's development. Only my daughter who always said she wanted to show it, saw the project with appreciation. Thanks!:ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper

$10 says that thing is bad news waiting to happen.

They don't sound like they know the VH very well, which is a BAD omen.

So, how many beers can you buy in KY for $10 :D

It looked to me like someone was told (by Zigouras Racing) "sell that dang engine, the guy we built it for is never coming back"

Check out their site http://www.zigourasracing.com/ I think they're in Mass, or New England somewhere. Anyone in Beantown, ever heard of them?

I'll side with Hitman. Does anyone else think that block appears hot-tanked? They've listed it at least several times that I've seen.

What I find interesting is how much room and cooling there is around each cylinder. Seems like with the correct liners one could get an easy 5mm overbore.

This is a shot taken at a track in Savannah Georgia, May 2002.

 Man do I hate changing brake pads in the sand. Interesting track, but the paddock is a little ruff -- ah, but then there are the trees and the shade on those hot days.
