I've got a set of 6 spare rb25 pistons removed from my motor your welcome to buy them for a pretty cheap price. Like $10.00 for all plus shipping. Not sure on the condition of the rings, but you can get new ones.

Yep looks like I need to go ahead and join the NRRBA. I was dead set on going ahead and buying the CP pistons, but its just sooo much money, I hesitated. If I buy shocker's pistons I can finish everything, have my car running again and have enough money to pay tuition this summer. Plus I'm only shooting for 450hp so the CP pistons would be a little extreme, although it'd be nice not having to tear my engine down again. Stockers will do me good until I get out of college. And yes, the crank is going to have the new collar put on.

Yea, sorry the thread is pretty off topic now

Recap

-bought motor from guy in supposed good shape

-bought parts

-began disassembling

-pulled head and thought everything it looked bad, as this is my first time disassembling a motor and wanted to make sure it looked normal. Turned out it wasnt

-decided to pull the pistons out(Was originally planning on leaving them in because I didnt want to buy new rings) #1 and #6 were/are cracked
