Good progress on the fix up. I'm glad you decided to go sr. I have my reasons, mainly because I'm a fanboy for the metal Aluminum. It looks so nice and it won't rust if i run 25% coolant 75% water (current setup).

Check my swap/build thread as part of ur research too man, I tried to help ppl with their swaps with some how to's in there. Some of the stuff I've done isn't cheap, others are. You'll be luckier than I am though and get an sr that hadn't had the intake manifold off and other random parts picked at.

You're probably going to need a lot of extra parts just FYI. I know it's hard to come to terms with, but I'll list a few.

-Intercooler unless you buy a front clip which includes the SMIC (but clips are more money)-intercooler (IC) piping and the hoses/clamps aren't that cheap.-blow off valve-intake pipe (before the turbo) mine was cut w/ my engine so i had to buy one-probably going to want a boost gauge unless you like eating blindfolded, but u dont need one.- if you get the stock catch can, keep it on it'll be cheaper for now. you can get an aftermarket oil catch can/tank later on. circuitsports is 30 bucks i think the cheapest out there that's not ebay.- cone air filter if u dont already have one.- new spark plugs- gear oil for the trans (2.4 liters = buy 3 liters at 10.99 a liter)- oil for the motor- possibly a new or used oil pan if yours is dented (mine was from the pallet in shipping) I scored one off ebay for 25 shipped keep your eyes peeled.note: If your oil pan IS dented, when taking it off check the oil sump to see that it is not dented enough to close the hole and prevent oil from being sucked up the engine. - heater core line adapters: cheap but u need em- turbo downpipe (to connect to the catback) and possibly a turbo elbowmisc tubing for the iacv/ vaccume stuff/ fuel lines- don't skimp out on new fuel filter/ oil filter and pcv valve. You can source parts in the purolator books to a 91 sentra with the SR20DE motor hehe.ur going to want a larger fuel pump in the future but the stock one should suffice w/o too much stress for the low boost application.- carb cleaner. advanced auto=cheapest price. for cleaning the ****e out of it because the motor will have been rained on most likely or have buildup.

That's all I can think of as of now. I'll be watching you! bwahahaha GL

injectors, you're fine for your goal. You're not even going to turn up the boost much more than stock so I say you're ok but I have a feeling WC will nit pick me for this lol. Seeing as I don't know if the stock injectors are already working at what % of their capacity.

^ lol i wont nit pick, just weigh in. for that power goal he can reach it by either turning up the boost on the stock turbo (and supporting mods of course) or by getting the s15 t28 (more $$ and not needed to hit those goals) if he turns up the boost on the stock turbo he can hit his power goal and probably be fine on stock injectors (maybe a small upgrade like to 555cc wouldnt hurt though) but if he gets the t28 i'd recommend bigger injectors

Thanks for laying down all the cards WC. I just don't know as much as you about the injector vs. turbo sizes.

I forgot 2 more things. Most likely your wiring harness will come with the ignitor chip, but be prepared to get one from a junkyard off of a q45 or z32 n/a if you don't get one.

and a little more heater hose to run to the radiator.

it s not really injectors vs turbo size. it is injectors vs power goals.

use this link to decided what size of injectors you want.

go by your flywheel horse power goal.

like for me i am going to have around 450 flywheel hp.

so i need 740cc injectors which will run at 80%

that is perfect.

i learned this after i had all ready decided to go with these injectors.

More appreciation, thank you. My friend keeps trying to talk me into (the little rb) Ca18det... He has his good points though. 800 bucks for a turbo set up isn't to bad. I could go to o reillys or autozone for parts. What do you think? Stay on the sr track or try out the ca18... my power goals wouldn't be met. in fact like 50 to 75 hp short.. but for the cheaper motor set.. It may be worth it.

Input?

just go with the sr, its'll be plenty reliable in that power goal, its easier to find parts fro em since u can use off of the US spec fwd na srs, theyre newer and therefore most likely in better shape. even if u save on the initial price of the motorset, it'll cost more to get in a decent shape since its older and probably has more miles

Well its been a while since I've posted any thing on my build up, so I figured I just throw out a random post. BTW, my rear license plate was stolen so I had to get new ones... oh well.. only like 29 bucks.

Wow dude I only knew one guy that got his plate stolen and it was a used car dealer at the auto auction i used to work at. They're lazy and didnt want to pay for a plate to drive 1 mile i guess . Sucks man. It's like 100 bucks here IIRC.

I have mine bolted down w/ a 10mm and an allen key bolt because im crafty 2 diff bolts ftw

Nice, FTW most deff.

You know what the funny thing is about it? They weren't even personalized plates.

P.S. I would of been 78 dollars but since I reported it stolen, it only cost me 29 bucks. I could of saved $3 and got a temp tag until they pressed a new one, but they were personalized so.. "might as well just get the new plates and have them instead of waiting." I thought.

didderson is indeed very crafty when it comes to securing/ hiding things. that sucks about the plate man. the FC has it so that you bolt the plate on from inside the hatch area. mazda was smart with that, they anticipated people stealing teh plate out of jealousy

Another thing I have been thinking about in the future is color.

I really like this color.

What do you guys think.

P.S. Could anyone get the color code of that for me? I can't seem to find it.

I think I'm a little late but, I vote CA, nothing worng with the SR's cheap and easy to get parts, but I love my CA to death, it pulls so strong and hard with minor upgrades......The one thing I don't like about SR's are the valvetrain design..... It's OK but the CA is almost day and night, less moving parts-more reliability-cheaper to fix!!!!

Ditto.

And to Nothing... I am stock.. A guy I know keeps trying to talk me into buying a ca.. He almost gets me sold every time but I don't know. I like the concept of cheap to fix, reliability, basically a mini RB. I went to the junk yard not to long ago with him and we saw an NA CA in a pulsar and it looked so good.. Plus they are a little cheaper than SR's and I can go to O reillys or Autozone to get parts for it if something ever happens to it. Hmm.. I'm gonna rethink it over..

Been a little while since i've been on, My router for my internet is fried so I can only use the computer when I come to my gf house. Whats everyone been up too?

Well my 240 is running like crap, absolute crap. It's missing, its back firing, the lifters are hitting really hard. Jesus, I hope I didn't bend a valve. I'm still a poor kid so, saving is really hard when you have bills. I've not had anytime to put my new lip on that I got, but with the snow and work, when could I of had? But ya, the motor... the motor is absolutly junk. Any body want to sell a KADE, CA, SR, or RB thats in good condition for a good price.

hmm the american version of the C18's do come in pulsar, non turbo n pointing the wrong way I think.

Sucks to hear how the car is running =[Drop an LS(X) in it. jk Cheap and nissan never works together well. Any swap you get, your going to end up replacing a lot of small parts. They tend to add up unless you pocket stuff at junkyards....... I say... Any motor you go with i'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it. (Screw all the motors go KA24E-T)

I have a KA24DE *Block/head* Pretty useless since it needs new crank/bearings.
