W3rd. Im kinda getting spoiled with it. Im used to coiled suspension and low a** kits, dodging potholes and bumps. Now I run over everything with such ease.

Umm i was never aware of that. Did you ever plan on informing me? According to Josh, it was his and he just gave me it.

Shoot Josh a text and we'll figure this out. In the meantime, here's some close ups of the climate control and my rear 6x9s. The original rear deck and brake light were totally deteriorated. I got a fresh light and remade the deck with artist mat board and spay glued the fabric back on.

Clean man, diggin the climate control. how hard was the wiring/etc? I heard you would have to put in an actuator for the cold/hot lever

Yea its a pain in the a**. My motor really doesnt adjust that well anymore from my previous install on the hatch. I just rigged it to stay on hot for the winter. Down the line, im gonna get a replacement and fab up a bracket so it can move naturally with no binds.

Good lookin' coupe bro! Looks like I'll have a group to come home to when I get back to Chambersburg from Pearl Harbor =) I'm loving the interior work you're doing! When I get back from deployment I need to tear mine apart and freshen up a tad. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on this build thread...good luck with whatever's next!

Just realized that you had those exposed 6x9's in your rear deck. Be careful with that. Around here, people will break your rear windshield if they see big speakers poking out like yours.

Tint usually means you got something TO hide. I found a different solution I'm going to try.

Mounting my 6x9's under the parcel shelf and re-carpet the entire shelf (my 3rd brake light is now on the trunk.) and you won't see anything but smoothness back there and it will look clean as hell.

as for the reverb of the speakers making the carpet flippity-flop when you're bangin to some tracks. I am taking a rolling pin to the wire mesh that came with my speakers and laying it over the holes on top of that particle board, but under the carpet.

Hows that for an idea

you texted me asking about fatmat and i told you i still had most of my 50 ft roll left. you asked how much i wanted for it and we agreed on $25 or right around there, and then i dropped it off at josh's when i went up to help him with some of the wiring on the s12.

btw the dcc looks great. really jealous, its something i want to do someday, but i'm not sure when i want to tackle that headache

OK its been many months but warm weather is finally here. I got around to getting rid of the horrible sunroof that was glued into the roof. Originally I bought a Kognition carbon fiber delete panel but it wasnt wide enough when i got it and he didnt have the mold anymore to produce more. So i ended up finding a place in town that fabricated a delete panel out of metal and create reinforcement bars for the roof. It turned out great and proceeded to do the body work cause I didnt want to pay them to do it...lol. On to the pics!

The Kognition panel on top of the crap sunroof. (not wide enough)

New panel in.

I took out the manual interior harness and replaced it with one with full options and removed all the auto seatbelt wiring.(Pain in the a** to rip out and navigate back in!)

I just installed a full JDM Silvia interior that i will post later. But for now, heres a teaser of what being installed this weekend. :woot:

awesome build. how many cans of paint did you buy/use??? and how long did you let the fenders and parts dry?? did you sand of just use a clear finish coat??

i also have a s13 front end
http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/rb-en ... -s-rb.html

but you should really get a vented grille. iam going to get one. that little space if opened can add some cooler temps when youre moving. especially if youre going to do a motor swap and run electrical fans(like me)

I forget how many cans i used...a lot. No clear. The gloss black has turned into a satin black over the months. As for the roof, its incredibly streaky because its such a large surface area for gloss black to lay nice out of a can. O well. I wanna respray the car black anyways. I cheated and showed a pic the finished roof with rain mist on it, making everything look even. :gapteeth:
