Frame rails work as a place to put your jacks, but they can bend.

I normally use the jacking point by each wheel as my jackstand location.

Although the point are much smaller than the frame rails.

Give and take I guess. More room to maneuver down there if you use the jack points.

Well my time was taken up my my red hatch today. Apparently after I replaced a bad fuel injector, it wants to sputter out a TON of white smoke and spit out fuel and oil through the exhaust.

Now I gotta get this coupe on the road earlier than expected which means its my new daily already. . So ill be riding this thing stock looking and boring for now once its inspected this week. Im gonna have to call on my fellow York and Lancaster crew members to help me bang out the 5-lug swap and coilover install one weekend. In the mean time I got the front end painted and ready to go on tom night. Pics are a lil dark... sorry.

The paint is rustoleum gloss black FYI. I have to get the coilovers first. But one weekend, i want to do everything in one shot. If i get a couple of yous over, that should be easy.

However, i stayed up late and put on the front end since this is suppose to be inspected on Wed. It only took me four hours. The driverside fender will need to be tweeked since the tucked harness makes it difficult to line up perfectly. Tomorrow night I will put in the headlights and corners. As for the hood, its gonna remain ghetto pop-up style until I pick one up next Sat.

The assembly of this coupe may be rushed, but I was dealt a bad hand and this needs to be on the road or no job for me.

Its just being rush for the inspection. Then I will add parts and what not over the weekends as I daily this. No biggie. I just didnt expect my hatch to give out so suddenly.

Hmmm what's the condition of your hatch other than the h00ge dent on the driver's rear quarter? If it's fine other than that, I might hop.

Yea the center grill is smoked out. I painted, fitted and wired up the front end in a days time.... no one can do that, lol. Plus its all inspected and fully legal now.

No more stress now.

Its been awhile but I got a mini update. I got my red hatch back to life and I just ended up restoring my entire interior. Mostly because I'm such an interior slut and also... it smells like diesel and dying old men. I ripped out all the sound deadening crap and laid new sound mat along with a new headunit, speakers, steering wheel, LED key light, DCC system and giving the carpets a good steam cleaning.

Got some dry ice and ended up realizing that i need more... lol.

So me and HBPignose got more and did work.

Action shot of me hating this s***.

This stuff worked great and got it all out.

Laid down the new mat courtesy of Josh (HBPignose)

Ran out so the only spot not getting it was the rear passenger seat....o friggen well.

Interior back in and all the electronics wired up.

And a front shot with of profile of my doo doo stock ride height (I know its lame but my $ and time is tight and its f***en cold out now!!)

That all for now. I wanted to get that done so I could just hop in a car that smells normal and fits my needs during the winter. As for the new sound proofing, it does do the trick but its not like you're stepping in a Mercedes now. It muffles out the exhaust and road noise pretty well. So now I continue to collect my parts through the winter like a squirrel and get ready for spring.

Looks good mang, would seriously reconsider doing up some more sound deadening. zer...age=1

Stock ride height is pretty good for me around here, anything off the main roads and my car scrapes n'sh1t as it is.
