Yeah I'm going to SAC this semester kind of far from where I live but whatever. I think I know where that is, right past the Valero right?

Nah I never drove a 240 instead I have a 260z and an bmw e30.
Wow, Lexus and Infiniti's eh? I wanted a is300 before i bought my lancer but at the time it was out of my price range. 4 doors, Rear Wheel Drive, Inline 6 Cly. I would have been very very happy with that haha. Oh well though sometimes you must take what you can get i guess ^^.

Cool, And yep right there past the Valero.

260z thats pretty old? Got any pics of the condition?

Thanks for stopping by!

Well I do not have 50 billion pictures to show but i do have the finished product of Project:DomeTurbo. Again all thanks and credit goes to Broadfield!

Well in the pictures above you see the finished product of the Turbo Timer and the housing. Well as most of you know, when you get a turbo timer you are supplied with a limited amount of wire. Considering the area it is being mounted in my "hummingbird", I will most definitely need more harness then the lame 2 feet i was supplied with. Easy install and uninstall plug on the harness itself. It extends up to about 17 feet and that is going to be more then enough hopefully to reach everywhere it needs to go to. Anyways.... I know how much some of you hate reading ( haha jk )

And soon it will be on its way back to Daddy! lol

Hope ya'll enjoyed. I will give a small update tomorrow when i actually feel like typing haha.

One Love,

Ghasty

Yeah, Ghast said he didn't think he would be able to run it down the A-pillar. He said he wanted enough length to run it back to the B-pillar, down the B-pillar then back up front and over to the IGN harness. Chews up more distance than you think

I also considered the fact that he may have to run it along the windshield to the A-pillar, then back to the B-pillar. I'm not sure if it's too tight to simply run it straight back to the B-pillar across the top of the headliner..... you may see a bulge. I figured I would cover all scenarios since I wasn't doing the install myself..... otherwise I would just cut it to length in the vehicle.

Besides, if he has a little extra it can just be coiled up.

Thanks for the props Ghast!

Toby

p.s. I'm on standby for the next little project.

The reason i wanted it mounted there was mainly because i want to really enjoy my cockpit you know? I wanna feel like i am in an anti gravity race ship lmao! (I have a very vivid imagination)

Whenever you get to your 240's interior and you plan to have this done, If you can not find any brackets or dome lights to use i can get you one of each from my pick n pull over here we have a lot. And i would suggest you let Broadfield do the work on it. I promise you the pictures do not do any justice, When you actually feel it (and yes i know it sound weird) but when you feel it, it feels like it is supposed to be like that. And it is not some delicate piece of work either it is build and modified to last.

Thanks a lot for checking out my thread bro!

Uhhhh That was all custom made like the wire wrap and harness extension on the turbo timer it self? Custom Custom Custom. Now if you are referring to the wire itself then i guess you can buy that at like home depot? I dunno you would have to ask Broadfield.

Please do not envy my sense of style, Simply because all i am doing is what I want and what I think is cool for ME. When you get your 240 i encourage you to do the same. Haha when i get around to putting stickers everywhere there are nothing going to be a lot of people who agree with me but as long as I am happy that is what matters.

Okay yea, I was looking for the specific store that would sell the wires and wire wrap etc etc. I obviously dont have any electrical experience at all so i will have to look into that more later on. envy your uniqueness of style because i like when people are unique with their projects and do stuff their own way. My plan is to be as unique as possible while making my car into what I love. Not what other people like.

Looking forward to the rest of your build man keep it up.

To be honest with you i do not know Jack shizzle about electrical things either but I AM in my first 2 weeks of basic electrical haha and i do know what all the different types of electricity are ^^ and what electricity actually is, But yes. That is all i know thus far. We are going into what Volts OHM's and Resistance and all that good stuff next week i am pretty excited.

any who.....Hop on one of broadfields threads and ask about that wire, he shares any info he knows.

I obviously will sell you anything I have in my store or shop.

The wiring I used on his project was 18 gauge and 14 gauge.

In 14 gauge I have red and black

In 18 gauge I have blue, pink, yellow, white, brown, green, orange, gray, violet, red, black and translucent blue.

On his wiring harness I doubled up green and blue to effectively make a blue 15 gauge wire and green 15 gauge wire.

I also carry all sizes of black split loom, 3M Super33 tape, expandable sheathing like I used on his harness(very expensive though), 6 different sizes of heat shrink etc. Just let me know what you want, how much and I'll quote you a price. I would suggest posting in one of my threads or emailing me though. We don't want to dirty up Brenta's thread with a sales pitch

Thank you very much .....

About the headliner , one thing i love about pandagarage is they LISTEN to you when you call them or E-mail them. I actually think the price was a little steep like 155.00 Shipped but i always try and haggle lmao. " Dude i have like straight up, 150 bucks. Will you do it for 150.00 Shipped?" I do things like that. I don't see it as telling a lie i just round down to the lowest amount i can spare at the moment, If you know what i mean?

Just let them know that you have a sun roof and weather it is a coupe or a hatch though i do not think it matters if it is a coupe or a hatch but let them know anyways. He will ask you but, for your mind to be a peace i would be clear the first time when ordering. IE: it's a 93 Hatch/coupe No/yes Sun roof.

Now i do not know what the deal is on all the JDM option of "map lights"(extra Dome lights) in silvia's and 180's but i think just about every car over there came with that option, Or at least the 180sx's did. Any who, If you end up getting one with the cut out right there where i did you will need to source a Map light if you were not already blessed with that option. Actually if you have a sun roof you do i think that is how it works. Anyways i am rambling... TFSB! And if you need to source a Map Light i have no problem hitting up my junk yard for you!

You have no idea how much i appreciate the sound clip and pictures. NO IDEA!

Here is what happened, I got word from someone on here (sorry to the person whom the credit may go to.) that the circuit sports exhaust was being discontinued.

At the time I was trying to stick to only saving for my engine seeing as how i had everything that was going to be hard to get for my build, WRONG i had to break saving so i could purchase the exhaust which i do not mind but it only prolongs the progress of getting the engine.

Well pretty much a day later i finally see someone else with the exhaust (You). Reasons that i requested pictures and a sound clip was you have a clean SR swap with the BOV and basic upgrades that i would be looking at, Perfect right? Yes Yes Yes. All because i wanted to make sure i had made a good smart purchase. So many thanks to you, I really really appreciate it man. You see there are 2 sound clips but they are both on cars with KA's. That does not help me at all, you know? haha. So thanks a million man.

Glad I could help out a fellow Nicoclub member. I am very happy with the exhaust, in my opinion it is one of the best sounding exhausts on the market. Hope you are able to get one.

Very funny you should say that. Looks at what i gots!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eventually i will get better pictures. It is not going on until i have the engine and the exterior is fully painted anyways. I only wanted to get one before they all ran out for good. I wish i had enough money to buy one for my non existent coupe that i will eventually have.

First saw this bad boy in the first issue of project car.... Had to have it.

At the current speed of making money i do not think i will be saving for the sr20 this year i may wait till next year or start in december when i know i will be getting big monies haha.

Instead i am going to go back to the route of interior exterior. Seeing as how i have a few more mods that i want to do to the interior besides restoring the shizzle out of it. I may as well keep going on it and finish collecting the exterior parts as well. Honestly the KA in it is in really really good condition for being so old, and i am not completely used to the car being RWD and all. I do not feel i am bored with the power or excitement i get from the damn thing. Given the fact that i only drive it once every few weeks sometimes months.

So i will be focusing on these points.Interior...-Taking care of that sound deadening crap and cleaning up.-Adding some sort of new sound deadening.-Reupholstering the 180sx headliner.-buy some bride material.-buy some s14 front seats. +Have the s14 front seats and stock rear seats redone with a hint of the bride material.-Install carpet and headliner along with dometurbo and wiring harness (not actually wire anything together yet till the SR though)-NARDI Steering wheel.-WorksBell Rapfix II GTC (in black with red trigger)-Shift Knob.-Shift Boot.-Modified Silvia Digital Climate Control.

Exterior...-OEM s13 Silvia hood.-Charge Speed front lip (For silvia AERO bumpers)-Type X Side skirts.-Type X Tail Lights.-OEM 180sx Window visors.-And i have been MAYBE thinking about a GT wing or a big CF wing. The only thing stopping me is NOT the style because i dig the style but the effect it would have at around 80 mph, I fear it would cause more drag then anything. If i do not go with a GT wing i will stay wingless...

Thats all for now.

TFSB!

One Love,

Ghasty

Beautiful build Ghast! That's a ***** about the Tiesto concert, when I saw him in Detroit last summer I luckily didn't have any trouble with the VIP designer clothes wearing Douchebags. When I go to Chi-town to see shows I sometimes have trouble with em', but they're usually pleasant folk for the most part. It must be nice to get paid to get free clothing and get your picture taken....PS. If you dig house, check out Benny Benassi if he comes through your area, I saw him last night in Detroit and it was SICK!

Bahhhh Money has been kinda thin but i am trying to stick to my list ^^

Not only that but i have been doing some very hard thinking. I may stick with my KA24DE until i am COMPLETELY done with my Interior and have collected everything for my Exterior.

Reason being is that i still believe i need some seat time in the car. Seeing as how it is not my daily i do not spend much time in it and i would really like to have the time to appreciate the KA24DE for what it is before i just take it out and pop in something else.

I would like to keep my KA till it either A. Craps out on me or B. I get to spend plenty of time in the driver seat after i fix the power steering and get an LSD.

Speed is not everything to me, i just like to enjoy the ride.

Let me know what you think about all that.

BUT i did take some better pictures of my Exhaust in the sunlight just so it can be seen better.

Let me share them with you...

It wont be put on until i get another engine though.

Also a a couple weeks back my friend and I went to go pick up his Viper that has been getting some work done on it. I will share some of the pictures i took there as well.

This is his viper, it is fully built and we are getting ready to get some sort of Forced Induction set up with it.

Here are a few of the other vipers that were there.

This last white car though i am not very sure about what it is, Everyone was talking business so i did not bother to ask. The owner said i could take pictures of whatever i wanted so i did. I did not get any pictures of the customer cars though, I did not want to unless i was able to ask them personally. They were pretty freaking sick though hahaha

Ya and on our way up to Buda Texas he let me drive his CLS 500 AMG.

So i was feeling pretty bad a** about that hahaha

I have a video from inside the viper of his Mercedes on our way back, and i also think i have a video of the Viper at Idle before tune i will find if you are interested.

Ohhh Ohhh I also found a couple pictures of the Old days when my Daily Driver was actually my pride and joy.

Yep... That was back when i thought my lancer was the "King of the castle" LMAO

Enjoy.

Ghasty
