I definately understand what youre saying, theres some shady places around here that have lost their inspection license numerous times for passing vehicles with holes rusted through the floor and lick'em and stick'em. I actually bought my first 240 way back when from a garage of rednecks that had it and "didnt want that jap car around."

Wow that's just messed up. Glad you got it covered right and everything before the rain hit, but still that's just something you don't do. On another note, I am going to need the 5sp driveshaft, and if you could find the bolts for the flywheel and the bellhousing that'd be great. I've been watching lopin's swap and he had to cut his driveshaft cause the manual one is shorter, and all of the bolts are shorter.

So you guys are going to get it tonight? I'd help out if I could but I have to work. Anyways, I can't wait until this thing can actually run with the other Lancaster 240s.

upon a thorough inspection of this chassis while sitting in my garage at home, i have determined that i was too spoiled by my rust free hatchback... im finding rust everywhere underneath this freaking thing... so this spring ill be looking for a cleaner chassis to transfer all my stuff over to. this current chassis is just ending up being one big hassle. but for now, i have to get it running so i have daily driver...

and ill sure as hell beat this thing like she deserves..... gotta find me a clean shell...

That really sucks, dude. :[ At least you'll have a car do daily/cruise in.

Slightly off-topic... Was Tom out driving/drifting tonight? I went to get something out of my car at 12:30 and I heard high revving tires squeeling and BOVs for a while...

Lol nah Doug I don't drive like that in traffic . I don't live in lanc city either lol, just kinda the outskirts in Leola. If i did any fun driving it was on parts runs cuz iv been halpin this guy the whole weekend and I should be doing some homework right now cuz i haven't touched it lol...

The frame isn't that bad man! It's just rusted sort of bad where the muffler used to be the rest is slight surface starting rust on random parts underneath the trunk. Eassy fix man, and don't beat it too bad. I want that shell someday if you're gonna dump it

Taking out old rusty brake hardlines is probably the toughest thing i've done to a car to date. Today my arms still hurt from the lack of blood they got lol. Stupid weak *** 10mil bolts on those rusted things grrrrr. O well I got them all out hehe . We're replacing the hardlines. Oh don't forget I need to bring the hardline pipe flange maker and Al sheeting for u next time im up.

I hope the tires come in soon. I want to see this thing on the ground w/ em... Well ok I hope the PBM's come then too because I don't want to see it at stock height!

Oh yeah dude and those stainless lines look delicious like a gummy shark! I have some plans for my car in teh springggg.

ok, im alive. my car is home and safe...

there is SO much work to do yet, it is def overwhelming. props to anyone who has built a car from the ground up... it is such a stressful, exhausting process. Tom, two other friends, and I were up til 7AM this morning, pulling an all nighter... and it still feels like we are just treading water at this point, even tho progress is def being made, it feels like its going so slowly. to keep myself focused, i had to just chill out, sit in my buddybclub seat, put my hands on the wheel and shifter and just think to myself that in a few weeks, this thing will live. its small stuff like that that keeps me going. i am so completely exhausted that i am barely typing right now. i will try to upload pics asap tho, as this thread needs some.

by the way, ANYONE who wants to help and lives in the area, talk to Didderson or myself, and we will arrange something. i can use SO much help right now...

I probably won't be able to help you until thursday again man, just letting you know. Good to know u had a motivational chill session.

It really does feel like we're going slow, but we're very meticulous about the work and doing the job right and CLEAN and slow definitely is worth it in the end because you don't have to revisit a mod or fix what you didn't do.

We should throw a bolt and nut through the front seat bracket holes for the front seat just so u can run one because I'm going to want a rideee!

I'm surprised I never added this pic to the thread. Remember man, she came from nothing but a milk carton seat and some window glass. It's been a hell of a journey and we're not done lol. Good job so far.

I think you'll post a pic of this but here's mine. Q rotors and calipers mocked up fit like cake with icing.

From sticks and stones to breakin' ricer bones man! lol.

yep, we cut that bish up and used the 90* bend for my intake and the straight section for my buddy john's Z31 intake, to eliminate his Helmholtz resonator, since he just installed a K&N FIPK setup on it.

two intakes for the price of free. and it just makes me laugh at all teh nubs that actually paid that much for a tube and filter, and claimed to get mad HP.... ahhhh marketing gimmicks
