thanks man! its good to post pics on here and get positive feedback, even tho nico is dead as of late...

but the props are much appreciated and are what keep me motivated to finish this cursed thing... it is a LOT more work to build, than it is to tear apart. but im close to done now, just waiting on suspension, diff, wheelstuds, tires... all the footwork really. oh and exhaust... and custom intake piping. the body is 80% done. just need to paint doors, driverside sideskirt, second coat on trunk and roof, and the hood (which will be done very differently)

keep the comments/critiques/etc coming!

1. yes, only semi-gloss paint readily available in my area. lord knows that there are enough FLAT black 240's out there...

2. my radio (pioneer dehp6900ub) directly reads and controls USB mass storage devices. it is connected via usb extension cable directly to the back of the radio.

mrgreeneyes is using the exact same paint i did for my project type x. we'll both be good for 500 temps, so take that global warming

its coming along nicely, those sideskirts look awesome in person. as soon as i finish up a few things on my car and have time i look forward to lending a hand on this

Yea screw global warming. With that paint you could leave your car parked on the sun so that no one could break into it. That is a killer feature on your head unit. I wish mine came w/ that!

Ok, got off work around 6, so i decided to do a little work on the car... got pretty much nothing done... motivation sucks at the moment, as i am very worn down from my day job, and its cold at the garage and the heater was outta kero. cold+tired+by myself = apathy.

but i did get the motor and trans in, and started to put my wheel studs in. the studs were ridiculously easy to do, i was pleasantly surprised. just hammer the current ones with one good swing of a 5lb hammer, and they pop right out. mad easy. so i have some pics to follow this text of the studs, and a comparison to the child-like status of the stockers. stock looks SO puny compared to the oversized studs, of 20mm more than oem. and you can peep my cool new sticker... because MY TOMEI DIFF CAME IN THE MAIL. i was quite the happy camper today.

pics, to satiate your inevitable need for visual stimulation:

gonna go up tomorrow night too for a little.

i made a list tonight of everything i have to do yet. there is a crapload more than i thought... ill post my checklist tomorrow, as it is 23* here right now, and i am comfortable in my warm bedroom, dont feel like freezing my arse off right now to go grab a list...

Nice build up, not a huge fan of the pig nose but I think it looks way nicer with the addition of sideskirts.....Anyways your going with the CA, good choice I love mine to death, are you rebuilding it..... If so I have a brand new set of Beck/Arnley lifters collecting dust in my dorm room..... If you want them shoot me a price!

Hey mrgreeneyes, what's your e-mail? I need to talk to my dad, but I'm almost positive that next weekend (as in the weekend of feb. 1st) I can get up there and nab that shiz from you haha. I talked to didderson about it, but do you also happen to have a passenger side door with manual everything? He said you might have one from the coupe shell or something, and if you do it would make my life a lot easier. Thanks.

alright nico, here is the point in my project where you will either love it or hate it. if it isnt your "cup of tea", thats fine and i do not expect everyone to like it. i like stuff that is outside the box and just a little crazy.

without further ado, here is pics of my snow/urban camo'd hood/center console bezel and smoked gauge cluster and my SEXY ARP studs and gorilla splinedrive nuts.

eat your hearts out

Yes, this will be my daily, and yes, i LOVE it. after seeing my hood, my buddy is letting me lay snow camo on his '06 wrangler x. its far from stock.

but yeah, feedback, you know the drill...
