what happened to the ones you "Borrowed from me", and where was I when this all happenedWhite Comet wrote:those look great. i'd be jealous.............if i didnt get the same ones!!! i cant wait to enjoy them (them for the super amazing hook up )
i bought that shell for $150 with a crappy blue interior in it, manual everything, base model. i transferred my entire hatchback harness into it, with the exception of the taillight areas, they are spliced with the coupe. my hatchback interior is going in this car, using as much of it as possible. i dont have the time, motivation, and extra cash to track down a full black coupe interior, but i do plan to have a full interior in the future. IMO, coupes look cleaner that way, hatches i like stripped.xxmexx wrote:did the interior come stripped or did you strip it ? whats the plans for the insdie ?
yeah, they are freakin impressive speakers, my phone pics do them no justice. they are awesome in person. installing them this weekend.White Comet wrote:those look great. i'd be jealous.............if i didnt get the same ones!!! i cant wait to enjoy them (them for the super amazing hook up )
yeah, its a sick obsession i have... i hooked up the illumination to toms boost gauge tonight and had the wire color/location right off the top of my head... its kinda scary. thanks for the props on the wiring, means a lot man, and im always willing to help with something that i know inside and out...White Comet wrote:+ 1 for the frsport wiring and +5 for keegan's wring. i had him stop over the other day and asked if he knew the horn wire off the top of his head (which he did) and few other wire colors. pretty much if he doesnt know it off teh top of his head (which is rare) he has it saved on the laptop thats always with him and he pulls the diagram up in no time

not totally true, the woofer design is shaped that way to provide clarity and a physical structure to the cone/basket assembly. also, a lighter, stiffer cone delivers crisper sound, as it is able to respond quicker. less cone material=less intertia.Didderson wrote:The center aluminum 'bullet' fixture is crazy nice. It even has rough machine marks on it which help shoot out crisper sound waves.

one bright thing i see about stripped interiors no backseat drivers or people whining about our cars backseatmrgreeneyes wrote: coupes look cleaner that way, hatches i like stripped.
tom just went sr a few weeks back and besides an odd idle (thats working itself out) it runs great danny's sr too now. i thought those speakers were going with ben and the old coupe. if u want u can have em back but their pretty beat. the one tweeter was bad and then the one speaker went bad.kietdude wrote:

oh, WC, text me or something, we have business to discuss about a welded diff i dont need, a flexalite OG status fan, speakers, etc. maybe some S13 parts can be bartered, etc? since i have my tomei, i dont need the welded diff, which was to trade for the fan. so maybe you have some other treat that i would like in trade for a fan? and also, when would you like to pick up your speakers? lets talk homie, and you gotta come chill with tom and myself sometime soon, perhaps in hershey?
i'll see what i can do. the thing that sucks is that melissa isnt the problem. its the little things im doing on my car that turned into big things and now its in pieces and homework, double majoring ftlDidderson wrote:

i like the no back seat but i dont like fully stripped interiors. and when u pull the back seat u just see all the metal underneath which is really out of place with carpet everywhere else. i took a spare hatch area carpet cut a piece to fit and used a heatgun and aerosol adhesive to carpet the bare areaKataki_ wrote:

haha, the ROUGH build tally (aka the lowball) is at $5050 NOT INCLUDING THE STUFF FROM MY HATCHBACK... so NO camera for me... ill get niiiice shots when its all done... but for the build, its not that important as long as you get the idea of whats going on, right?ILoveMyRHS13 wrote:Awesome looking build so far. Mad props for keeping the pignose! I love the hood, too! I'm willing to start a camera fund for you, though, hahaha. Keep us updated. I look forward to it being done.
