Infinitiguy, wouldn't most of that only apply if the car was actually starting. Like the coolant temp sensor.

Try squeezing the fuel feed line w/ some pliers to reduce fuel volume to the motor...

If you checked the codes correctly and the coolant temperature sensor did not show up on any known good ECU then its not the problem. I am not sure if the Coolant temperature sensor is defective it may or may not prevent the car from starting but I am not sure.

The Intake leak may not prevent the car from starting because when the coolant temperature (As relayed to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) by the Coolant Temperature Sensor) is cold *60F the engine was really rich. Its only at warm idle among other instances that the engine runs super lean.

Intake deposits should be non existent in your case where you rebuilt the engine.

So it comes down to the spark plugs which you replaced.

Check with a Laptop Consult, Nissan Consult or by looking at the LED mounted on the ECU to check the codes carefully.

Or hold the throttle all the way open just in case the engine is flooded. The Wide Open Throttle (WOT) sensor on the Throttle Position Sensor tells the ECU you want the injectors to stop firing so the fuel gets burned up or pumped out through the exhaust valves.

tried several times at wot. I've tried all of the above, excluding getting a laptop consult. I think I'm at my personal end with this car. I think it doesnt want to be brought back to life.

Judging by the noises you're hearing at WOT while cranking, I think you need to perform a leakdown test. Go buy a cheap leakdown tester on ebay and use your own (or rent) an air compressor. Test each cylinder w/ the valves closed at TDC and use a stethoscope or a length of 3/4" heater hose to listen for where the most air is escaping. That will definitely pinpoint your problem...

One other thing you can try: Hook up a remote starter button to the starter and turn the key to "Run." Crank the motor with the button while the ignition is in the "Run" position and see if it starts. There may be an issue w/ the ignition switch.
