i just bought the aluminum kick plates but now that i see these, i regret not getting them when i could.

I had my regrets too. Then I found the guy selling them. I was thinking about finding someone who could cut out some pieces around here. See if I can get more of the kick plates to light up. But we'll see who I can find. If so, I'll try to get a few made. Would be awesome to get the whole thing to light up instead of just the center words.

I built these like this because

1. I was going for more of an OEM look2. The light tape vendor I use sells the strips in 12" x 1.5" which is perfect for the OEM look I was going for.

You can find other vendors and get different size light tape cut to your liking, but for what I was trying to do, I felt this looked perfect.

If you look at all of the vehicles with factory illuminated kickplates (lexus, scion, infiniti G37 in Japan, 2009 Nissan Murano) they all have a setup similar to the way I built these! BUt its your time/money/energy, you can create whatever your mind desires... what may deter you is how much money it will cost to start these up from scratch... good luck!
