PLease HEEEELP! 240SX AUTO trans problem

hi I have a 240sx 1990 and I am having a big problem, the transmission start at 2nd gear and does not upshift, even manually, only the 1rst and 2nd gear work manually, I just replaced the TPS because the transmission upshift was too high (3000rpm all upshifts) and now I have this problem! please help, i don´t know what can be! I heard that the transmission control unit, a guy said to me that the Mass air flow sensor must be replaced, another gay said that the Speed sensor, please someone help me! (the speedometer doesn´t work all the time)

search here on the forum for the Factory Service Manual (FSM) inside you will find the guide to install and adjust the Throttle Position Sensor. if improperly adjusted your transmission could have problems changing gears. start there, and check the ecu for codes while your at it (also in the FSM)

I just adjusted the TPS with this vid that I found on Youtube, exactly the same: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-Mwxicmpg4, and the car still doing the same, I took it with a local expert (I´m in Cd Juarez, Chihuahua), and this guy revised the car with a computer, He connected this computer on the bottom driver´s side, next to the fuses on a large connector and get the motor and trans codes, and told me that the only sensor with a failure was the speed sensor and nothing else, I want to know if this sensor can cause this failure, it is expensive, at auto***e the sensor cost is 105+tax, i just don´t want to buy it and to realize that this is not the failure cause . Thanks a lot for your help.

So if your actual speedometer is working, than the problem lies between the cluster and the ecu. (the ecu and tcu gets its signal from the cluster, not the speed sensor.)
