[QUOTE=lil89ram50]but remember these stock z24's arent made to be turboed, and would pretty much fling apart if done so.
I beg to differ. The club I was in turboed several types of engines with exceptional results. Because of the quality of fuel in those days we had to limit the boost to prevent detonation. The key to turboing a n/a engine if fuel regulation. Fuel pressure must be set to prevent the float chamber from drying out, so the increase in fuel pressure to the carb will prevent the forced charge of air from blowing out the fuel from the chamber. We have done - Ford Cortina 2.0, 2.3 Capri V6 2.8 - Nissan L18, L28, A15, CA16 - Mitsubishi sirus 80 (thats a 1.8) and a Chevy 350 which we installed in a 75 Escort. In most we did not drop the compression and ran a maximum of 7 lbs boost. In the Cortina 2.0 and the L28 the compression was dropped to 8:1 and the boost increased to 15lbs.
