OMG wtf happend to the origional purpouse of this thread? you people do this all the time, someone askes a question and if they have any lil inperfection then its a B****fest about some unrelated subject. i dosn't matter if it is a sileighty, two-ilvia, onevia, s1354.823-whut-ever-the-f***. its all subjective because nissan never sold a car like that in north america. from what i understood, NeeCo wanted to know who that guy was! i guess nobody knows.

if you get mad at this post then, i'm sorry. i just think that this whole debate was funny but pointless.:oface

hmm.....i really dont get it. is there seriously a problem when topics get a little off? sure we may not always have an answer to the question but that is why we sometimes get into debates to learn the right answer. Wasnt that the purpose of forums?, where you get other peoples insight to a topic. oh forget it....im just goin off topic...again, sue me. hey tsukai, its not like we get mad for no reason....and there is no reason to get mad at what you posted, because your right, fun yet in a way pointless.

ACTUALLYYYYYYYY the japanese drifters made their own Sil-Eighty's first because they're lighter. and nissan saw that it was good and made them lolNissan did make sileighty's thank you.but come to think of it they never did say they came from a nissan factory but nissan did sell them.

A sil-eighty is any combination of a silvia and a 180SXeg. 180 front-silvia rearsilvia front-180 rearnyone still confused???????

and Nissan saw it was good, and produced Sil-Eighty's...1500 in all, each special in their own way :D

...wait...there were 2 pages.....I missed the ***** fest!

^THE MAN speaks the truth, technically a sileighty is a combination of front silvia 180sx rear. This changes with the onevia which is silvia rear 180sx front. Sileighty was the name given by the japanese enthusiasts who did the swaps, so an s15 front IS STILL a sileighty (strawberry conversion if you want to be technical). Oh, and about the rest:

I'm seriously getting tired of posting that article...even though it's my 2nd time:thinker

oh, and nEcco, i've had a similar experience (well kinda), my friend was driving his mkiii supra going into a highway ramp where out of thin air we hear a loud *** bov coming fast towards us. My friend pulls to the right (being n/a and all) and what do we see fly by us? A black, old gen imprezza wrx (the nice rally kind). We couldn't make sure if it was a 2.5rs turbo, a 2.5rs ej20 conversion or if it was the real deal, but man did it sound beautiful and was if fast! Of couse my friend felt disheartened, and I just could not believe what I had just experienced. Take into consideration this was like a year before the wrx was introduced into the market.

First too Tsukai I was wanting to know who the guy was I really don't think anyone on these forum knows anybody from my town but me. I was just amazed to see one here in my town and thought I would let everyone know. To everyone else yes getting off of topic can be annoying sometimes, but hey if it keeps people coming back and the convo keeps going then who cares!!!!! Just more time for us to waste on the web chatting it up with each other. To Chingon GREAT JOB on that article I don't know where you found it but It sure will answer alot of the questions most of these peeps here have and stop alot of arguments hehehe.

Oh yeah and Silvias14KA24DE you aren't right, and face it you never will be :0

Well, at the end it says stay tuned for upcoming issues of HPI, so my guess is HPI mag? Articles came from a website in Australia (I think the mag. too (haven't read it in a while))
