Well Rob, Sunday is great for me since I have a show at UTI on Saturday so I will be there to see you off. It will definitely be a lot of fun if the roads are dry.

dude, if you don't wanna come fine, but don't try to scare folks off with fuc*ed up inaccurate information...

we will continue to update the meet up until the night before... BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW ... there is only a 20% chance of rain on Saturday and 0% chance of rain on Sunday in almost all of SoCAL, but especially in the San Diego, Palomar, Julian areas where we will be...for folks that don't want to come, STAY HOME... I understand the concern for rain, and NOEN of us will have a canyon run if its raining, but by all acoounts, as of now, it won't have rained for two days by the time we meet for the run

WHEN: 8:00am ....We depart at 8:30pm sharp

WHAT: Canyon Run, Breakfast, and Pie in Julian after the run

*note* this is NOT a race... we never race on Canyon runs, this is a smooth cruise at a nice pace, if you want to race, please do so on your own time

San Diego caravan meets at the STARBUCKS at the Mira Mesa Marketplace at 7:00am, we then depart at 7:20am for the staging area above...

I spoke to Tim today and he informed me that my car wasn't going to be done by this weekend. A company that he ordered some parts from sent him a few for a sedan which are incompatible with the setup he needs for my car. He gave me their number and invoice. He told me to call and give them hell for doing this and for telling Tim that they were unable to change the parts or something. I called the company and spoke to one of the main guys. I gave him the impatient customer who is unsatisfied with their service and so on. At the end he appologized sinceraly then said that the parts Tim needed were out of stock, but they would have them to him by next Wednesday. If I go this weekend I will take my Frontier because I seriously want to go. So does my friend. Rob said it was going to be a nice cruise thru the canyon so my Frontier should be able to keep up nicely. I may see you guys there .

It's like at least once a month SFR says you'll have your car back in a few days, then some company falls through and it gets postponed. props to you, I wouldn't be able to go this long

Well I know Tim isn't BSin me. I have family that lives in SD and I tell my cousins, who are car nuts and know their stuff, to swing by SFR to check on my car a few times a week and they say each time they stop by thru the back of the shop someone is always working on my car. Tim has gave me the numbers to each company that has gave him problems and I always call them to give them SIHT. Tim ran into some problems with something I wanted done which was near impossible, but he's got it done now. Tim is an honest business man ,such as I am with my company, who I trust. His knowledge in performance and cars is the only reason why I don't mind dropping all the money I have into my car. I always say "Patience is a virtue" and when I get my car back I'm ganna be secure to know that the work was done properly and is going to knock me to the back of my seat without having to worry about transmission problems.

Nah bruh I never took it as you knocking on Tim. And he does do amazing work. I was impatient before, not with my car situation, but I learned that it got me nowhere just mad and pissed off all the time. You get a bigger reward when you're patient and let things fall in together. Listen to me I sound like a freaken phylosopher. I'm just saying there are more important things to me then just my car .

I'm heading out tomorrow morning to checkout my car at SFR. Then going up to Spring Valley to my sisters house. My truck is going to be a bit dirty since it was raining and it is my work truck...

Sorry rob, can't make it. DMV wasn't friendly to me. Don't have the correct paperwork to get done what I needed. But everyone be careful, even though it may not rain on Sunday, there is a weeks worth of rain, wind and lightning strikes of debris that will be on the roads in the mountains.

Hey Rob it is going to be sunny but there maybe a runoff of snow since Temecula will be getting some early Saturday morning and I checked Julian as well and they will be getting snow both on Saturday and even heavier on Sunday even though the skies are clear everywhere else. I would recommend we do the mild course and keep the speed down instead of doing the crazy course right before we hit Julian. A lot of my motorcycle buddies are even afraid to go near that area this weekend so traffic hopefully will be light but at what cost lol.

Well I will see you guys tomorrow morning. I have a caravan meeting for the guys up north at Buffalo Wild Wings in Murrieta (Murrieta Hot Springs road and I-15 or I-215). I will be leaving promptly at 07:30 am to head down to the meet spot. If anyone would like to meet there I got a few guys meeting already and we will be at the usual meet spot under the sign next to the Sam's Club gas station. I will be there at 07:15 am.
