don't know where Turnbull canyon is, but its basically 50 miles of nothing but tight twisties on the first leg. the second leg after Julian has some tight twists and sweeping curves, but it also has so very long straight aways that you can easily reach triple digits if you have a car with enough power.

Ricky, you definitely need your car back. It feels like so long since you've had it.

And Tray, Turnbull is kind of like a beginner course to a lot of other canyons. Turnbull, although fun, is real short and always filled with jacka$$ people in trucks.

If I don't get to make this meet just remember (for the guys still not that used to canyons) that you should know the boundaries of your car. If you don't, I don't think the best place to find out is when there is a mountain on one side and a cliff on the other. My friend just flipped his car during a canyon run, I guess two guys were racing and one pulled onto his side of the street. Pushed my friend into the mountain and that launched his car down the cliff. Driver was airlifted to the hospital but he is okay now, all passengers are okay too. The guys racing took off but cops are looking for them since there was cameras at the scene.

Come on down dude. It's a 3 day drive if you do it non-stop. I did it a couple years ago with my cousin because I felt like hitting up South Beach Miami for some party time at the clubs. It was WILD and CRAZY. And the chicks we got.... were freaks. No blueballs for us .

That doesn't mean you can't get drunk before you go to the clubs dude... . I've been looking at the weather channel and it says that it's raining from Sunday to Thursday. Still can't see what next Sundays weather is going to be like, but I wish it doesn't rain this gathering out again. Hey I've canyon runned in the rain many times before. It's not bad. I'm not advising it that we do it. I'm just saying that I've done it before with friends in the Euro scene. I took my VR6 Jetta Turbo and they would take their BMW's, Audi's and Porsche's.

Ok guys, the final date is Sunday, Jan 24th. Andy (bluebatmobile) will be leading us through the canyon run...

Andy this will start early, so the guys coming from LA/OC will either need to leave very early, or you guys can just crash at my place the night before (wife and daughter have moved to Maryland)... it'll be cramped, but hey its free... anyway, Andy will give a final place and time for the meet...

Heard after Wednesday it should pretty much be dying down. I really hope I can make this, West side farewell to doc, respects for John's passing, and breaking in the new tires and brakes.

Robert, if you're offering I may head down a day early because if I leave here super early in the morning I am most likely not going to sleep and that doesn't sound like a good idea.

Nope, still waiting on a buyer. In the process of moving, so I haven't been doing much marketing on it. It really needs a home though, an altima needs to be powered with this kit.

hey guys, essentially, this is my last free weekend, so unless its raining on Sunday, I'm gonna make it... i can't make the 31st or 7th, and I leave on the 10th...

whoever plans to show up, please email me so you can get my cell phone so that we don't run into communication issues like the last meet

also, Andy (bluebatmobile) is inviting some of his friends as well... if even half of the estimated people show up, it should be a great meet...

and remember, its not just a canyon run... we do the canyon run, then have breakfast, then grab pies at the famous pie spot in Julian... afterwards, Ricky and I are headed to the gun range for some so anyone else that wants to roll is definitely welcome!
