SOOOOOOO, our last meet looked more like an East coast Altima coupe meet than a SOCAL meet (j/k)

no but seriously, we discussed having a Canyon run at Julian sometime in January. This will most likely be led by Andy (bluebatmobile) in his SRT-10 Viper...

If you've never been on a run on Julian mountain, it is a 3+ hour run. Not for the faint hearted and not for non-enthusiasts....

We usually start early in the morning, meet up, then head to the mountain.. we take a casual ride down the mountain, and then have breakfast in Julian, followed by pie at their world famous pie rest.

Just gauging interest now, so if you think you wanna try and tackle Julian, post with your interest or questions... the sooner we know whether or not foks are interested, the sooner we can get a date together so folks can request off of work if necessary!!!!!

Sign me up man. Just got to let me know so I can get out of work. I know its a semi all day thing. Also, I will be trying to do the run before we go so that I know what I am dealing with. From the description it seems pretty crazy.

I'm interested. I need to make sure I have new tires by then before I can commit though. If I don't get new tires however, I'm still down to go and be a copilot if somebody doesn't mind.

The drive isn't that crazy. Just long. I'm assuming you guys will be meeting up at around Scripps Poway Pkwy and then heading to the 67 then the 78 through Ramona. Just make sure the forecast doesn't call for snow up there. Last time I made a run up there, it was snowing so be careful.

I really wish I could be there for this, whether it be in my A/C or my MR2. I really wish I didn't have to re-locate to Georgia.

Count me in, If I have my car back that is. Just got off the phone with Tim and he was driving down the street to his friend the transmission specialist to see what's the status. It looks good though .

I'm def. in for that Doc. I just need enough time to put in for it at work. Are you still down for doing my HIDs on the 20th or 21st? Which day would be better for u? Could we do the fogs also? I was thinking of getting the cheaper kit for my fogs.

Well like I spoke to you about it would have been done months ago, but since I wanted that little extra kick it took this long. I should be out there Mid next week to get it bruh. Tim said his transmission specialist friend ran into some small setbacks which is why it couldn't be done this week. And Christmas here he has to take some days off as well as his crew. He said as long as they don't run into problems with the installation it should be done by next week.

OK guys, it looks like either Saturday January 23rd or Sunday January 24th are our canyon run choices... respond to this, and by the weekend, we will have a final day, time, and meeting place.... should be a nice run... also, if you have walkie talkies, bring em... this run will be in honor of our Brother John A. Hoag, III ...

I'm good with Saturday the 23rd. I can also do the 24th but only if I am back early as we have a club meeting on that date.

I vote for Saturday.

I can make most likely make the Sunday one but I'd rather not skip out (family arrangements).

Also, I still don't have tires so if I go is there any way I can sit shotty with someone ???

ok, its obvious that we're not gonna have 100% consensus on the date... so we'll just pick a date, and whoever can make, we'd love to have ya... I just don't want the drive dominated by G's and Z's again

I'm able to do either day, but it's more convinient for me on Saturday because I can visit my sister out there and come back Sunday morning or mid day. This way we can all be rested and ready to start the work week on Monday. Instead of coming home Sunday night and have to wake up early to drag my a** to my office then hit the streets with my crews.

Regardlessof which date we choose, it won't last all day... we should be done by about 3pm, 4pm at the latest...

From past experiences, i would suggest Sunday Morning, leaving by 7-7:30 am at the meet spot. We should be done by 12-1pm. I suggest 1/24/10 for the date. I can't guarantee though that i will be available for either dates at this time, but if I am free, I will come up.
