Robert,

I actually just got mine installed. My girl bought it for me for christmas The same one you have, the Autopage RS 1000 with the Can Bus SL2. I got it installed for $400. I love it
Dealer price on those is $200, the can sl2 runs another $80.... @ $400, he did your entire install for $120? THat's a 4-5 hour install, that's less than $30/hr...... either that shop doesn't know how to price labor, or you got the hookup.... labor alone for this install usually runs ~ 400

I am using the LED interior from my old car and lowering springs from the same vehicle / bought the HID fog kit / bought the cover tint for tails / bought aftermarket slotted rotors / 18" 077 chrome rims and PREMIER sound system / full chrome grill to replace the honeycomb.Am taking ownership of the vehicle in 2 weeks.

P.S. : Is anyone here representing any companies that would provide bolt on turbo kits for our vehicles / eg 3.5 auto 09

The 150 alarm SRWONG ... stick with it .

I LOLd at this dude's stupid comment

Well, just so happens that I'm the only guy on this forum who is just that.

However, this comment here,

won't help your cause.

Just as Robert and I have been saying the whole time. $300 for the products, and $400 for the install, is usually the price. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Remember that.

well, install labor rates do vary from place to place...and I will admit, when I got charged that price, it was after I had fallen out with my shop, and wasn't on great terms with the Sales manager (who is now gone)

if a shop charges $50 /hr (and that's cheap), and sets up 4 hrs, then that's $200 off top, say they don't make any money off of the RS-1000, and give it to you for $200, plus the $80 module so you don't give up your remote.... you're still looking @ a mimum of $480 and that's before taxes (or the cash price)

In any case, my point is, if you get a top of the line remote start installed for $150 and you don't have to give up your remote... then someone's losing money... it just can't happen!

DAAN, you haven't been on here long enough to talk LOL @ moderators, especially when they are trying to help you out.... the point he was making is that THERE IS NO NAME BRAND REMOTE START 2 WAY PAGER WITH 1 MILE RANGE AVAILABLE FOR $150 out the door..... the alarm itself is worth more than $150!

OK, back on topic fellas... what you puttin on the whip for the 09

What is the pricing for the bolt on kit? What kind of HP gains have you seen across the powerband ? What was the installation time.

I am contemplating your mods, as well, Hussain. I like the idea. Since you installed it before, how much back did it set you ? Did you have to re tune the timing with this addition ? Would you recommend the upgrade? Do you feel any improvements or are they minimal ones ?

- STS is arriving on the 5th (and we're having some decent weather so I should have it installed the same day without worrying about freezing my @$$ off!) - Projectors (when Brandon gets through with them) - RacingLine STB - If I can pull in enough contracts, then I'll be getting the GReddy cat-back too!

Price is $5500

HP is good at around 350 whp. Although thats an estimate figure based on similar kits at 6 psi through the shop. The CVT is undynoable due to no gear ratios.

Installation time is 6-10 hours depending on your expertise.

Just got a few simple mods.

1. Repaint engine cover and accessories2. Finish up interior LEDs3. Eibach Springs (unless something better comes out)4. 6000K HIDs5. Aftermarket fogs/6000K HIDs

and one of the following hopefully all three though

1. Alpine IVA-W5052. 19" Bronze/Black TenzoR DC-5 version23. Artisan Exhaust

p.s.I have a pager that my dealer threw in for like a hundred bucks. It's not a remote start but does claim to have a 1mi radius. I've had it for over a year now and it hasn't had any problems... It's a noname thing but it works fine

very possible... although I doubt its a real 1 mile range ( we can test it out one day if you want... that's something I want to do with my remote anyway!) the fact that its no name brand and he "threw it in" means he ate the cost of the labor install... thus just giving you the alarm itself with free labor for $100. My shop has an autopage 2 way pager w/ LCD they offer for $199 installed out the door also (no remote start)

Ya well the thing was, was that we were throwing alot of money down on the car and wanted something in return.

so they gave us a deal on lojack and the pager. We didn't have any hassle and got away with some good deals i guess. I do want to test out its radius though thatd be fun.

mines an LCD pager as well has a lock, unlock, trunk release, and panic buttons, as well as a button to light up the screen. shows what has been hit and everything. The manual says it can be programmed to remote start the car or have the car on a timer but it doesn't work so i guess they kind of cheaped out. im happy though

being the first goon on nico with a turbo coupe i'm going much bigger in 09. lowering the compression/full motor build, performance clutch/flywheel (when available) pistons, rods, meth. kit, and 20+ lbs. of boost on pump gas. Also, AP BBK, bluebat overlays, hopefully coil overs, short throw shift kit, and if i'm lucky 10's in the 1/4mile before july. I have a serious speed fetish is all i can say!

Ya I think they have to put in separate modules for the remote start and such right? Or at least you have to wire it in all the way.

That's correct, Blake. Each additional module would have to be added / Rob, they didn't cheap out, just didn't wire it in and programmed it, as the cost eaten by them would have become quite big.

Can anyone please point me to the Artisan URL / I see quite a few users recommending + installing their products.

Call them if you're interested in a artisan performance cat-back exhaust or turbokit.

Picked up the springs already and the roof lip and I'm ordering the Stillen Skirts and front lip. Then going to pick up the extreme dimension rear. The only thing is I need to find someone to paint and install all this at a reasonable price.

Ne1 have a good body shop in the Orlando region???

also ordering the injen intake or k&n intake... not sure which 1... tossing it around...

CHRISTMAS WAS GOOD 2 ME WITH ALL THE MONEY I GOT!!!
