ok i have done some research and now i need some answers (KA24E EGR Problem)

I have this stupid EGR temp sensor and my CEL is on because of this and i seen a lot of ka24e ( cali models) without the sensor and they are able to pass smog. I found this forum zerothread/312702and i what i need to know is, am i going to pass smog doing this because the people that are doing this is people that are going turbo and i am doing this because i don't want to pay $125 for a new one but i want to make sure i can pass smog doing this so any help would be great. Thank you for your time and please help in any way

Assuming your engine bay looks visually stock and you do a good job of hiding the resistor, then you should be able to pass the VISUAL inspection. If your EGR is not working then that could affect your emissions, preventing your from passing the SMOG test.
