Exactly. The rear glass is near impossible to remove intact, and the hatch has rust from the spoiler.hbpignosePA wrote:except its waay easier to just buy a new hatch lid w glass intact than to replace it if its broke
i dont think it would sell well

It would be a neat, but not really a good idea. First of all, it would disqualify the car from competition. Rally rules state the engine block must be derived from something offered by the vehicles manufacturer.
Also, custom fitting engine like that, would seriously hinder a persons ability to repair the car in a hurry. It would unnecessarily complicate things.
A full custom setup, utilizing inverted monotube Bilstien dambers, ground control coilovers, and Tein camber plates. I have all the parts, but Im waiting till the car is out for caging to start putting them together.PHeller wrote:What did you decide on for suspension?
SweetnessVery nice car/build man just read through all four entertaining pages. You make doing all of that challenging stuff look very easy. I wish i could do to my car what you could so easily. Can't wait to see this thing in the dirt man keep up the good workFlatBlackIan wrote:
I hope to haul the car out Thursday evening.
I chipped scraped, and scratched the bulk of it off using a chisel. Once I had most of it off, I used an angle grinder with a braided wire wheel on it.lbreevesii wrote:Thanks for the update ian. I keep checking this thread almost daily :-p
Sorry if you covered this, I skip a lot of replies. What are you using to clean the seam sealer crap off? If I pick up a welder I intend to stitch up my 240 lemons project car. Wondering what has worked well for you.
Hahahaha, I have 3 fire extinguishers. Ive found that the torch makes more of a mess than anything.MagikDragon wrote:Break out the ole propane torch, just make sure a fire extinguisher is handy... just incase!
Only way to find out, is to give it a shot.lbreevesii wrote:Think one of those plastic abrasive paint remover wheels would work?
I will if you will.gmac708 wrote:Looking good Ian. Keep the updates coming!
