Obama's father is just as African as the rest of us.
Thanks for the anthropology lesson captain obvious.

Or just have it here that modern man started in Africa and we are all part of that race. Isn't a color but the original modern men were more readily able to adapt to different conditions.

Obama's father is just as African as the rest of us.

You think that the way you started this thread that it would have ended up differently because it would be in General?

Also, coherent sentences may help.

If I'm just as African as Obama's dad, then all of you are just as Finnish and Croatian as I am.

Your area of study definitely wasn't sociology, highly doubt it was anthro.

Well, tbh, he is right. Go read Guns Germs and Steel.

Modern man evolved in Africa, and then spread to all the world. As man changed environments, the natural selection factors changed, allowing some previously inhibiting or neutral alleles to become favorable or even dominant. This cause the development of the races within the species. Different races developed with very isolated gene pools. Couple that with the fact that human sperm is statistically the most commonly mutated sperm on the planet, and you end up with a diverse range within the species a few thousand years later. So while all humans are inherently of African origin, not all humans are Finnish or Croatian.

Roots of man could have also been traced back to Pangea when the whole world was one large continent and Africa didn't exist?

I thought we were all Asian....lol.

Pangaea was broken up before modern man walked the Earth.
wikipedia wrote:Pangaea, Pangæa or Pangea (IPA: /pænˈdʒiːə/[1], from παν, pan, meaning entire, and Γαῖα, Gaea, meaning Earth in Ancient Greek) was the supercontinent that existed during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras about 250 million years ago, before the component continents were separated into their current configuration

And interestingly enough, a credible theory for why mankind LEFT Africa is because it was easier to grow the grains used for alcoholic beverages (i.e. proto-beer) in other climates.

I'm not making this up. I'm not sure if it's the dominant theory or not, but I know it isn't left-field. A fair number of anthropologists really believe that we migrated out of Africa and colonized the world largely because we wanted to find better places to "grow beer".

Yay beer.

So in a nutshell, the population of the earth outside Africa happened because people liked getting fvked up. As funny as that is, its a really ludicrous theory lol. Might have been a small contributing factor, but come on..

Yay for beer indeed though.

Well to be honest about it, beer / variants were the safest thing to drink until modern sanitation. So the people who liked beer were less likely to get diseases / illnesses and therefore more likely to survive.
