Sure, yeah, whatever, its nice the group still gets there springs. But, this type of d!ck behavior makes the future prospect of a group buy on other items less likely.

Maybe I am not understanding the situation since everyone else seems happy to buy on this deal. But, to me, this seems just moronic. Free enterprise is a great thing, and I'm all for it... but then, I expect to business with people who behave with some honor. That seems to be lacking here.

tarmac is going to make these springs. we already started when the springs didnt surface for a week or two. special intro deal at 125.00 shipped for the first 10 sets. we are partnered up with a different company who is also ISO9000 certified. On top of this we will be adding other Q45 products as we develop them. Everyone who buys our products also gets into the VIP meets we are doing now with REDLINE for free. Also we are proud to announce the first VIP show at Summit Point WV on Aug 5th -6th with manufacturers such as Junction Produce, Toyo Tires, Hawk brakes, Exedy, Cusco, Swift, and many more. media coverage by G4 TV, Speed TV, Modified Mag, S3 mag, and others all commited to the event. This is an invite only show so your free to come spectate but if you want in the show field, email me for consideration. I can try and stop the spring production but again see, i try to help a weird niche in the market and this stuff happens. I guess i should wait for the exhaust and other stuff we were going to make and ask first. My turbo Q should be done by SEMA. lol there goes the MPG......

thanks

thanks

well these are CC springs we copied. they are in the reverse engineering stage. while i was lurking around i found out who made the old CC springs and while you guys like them, i found out that they made alot of other private label springs. many of which sagged with age. this is not to say that the Q45 ones will or did as each spring is made to different specs including spring diameter, design, number of coils down to the actual spring material aka steel composition. all of which is dictated by the company that they are made for on a case by case basis. We just bought a r32 and i am selling my S13. My Q is my pet project. I am right now looking for my wheels. the car currently rests on old 19" konig tantrums. We are working on a few other new things but time is limited with me traveling for the magazine and Redline as well as US DRIFT. So be patient. I am going to check in with the spring manufacturer and see where they are at with the project. Just got back from Carlisle performance and sound show...in PA

thanks dan

Aug 5th and 6th!! My Q should be hot by then! I'll go just to spectate and to be there. Getting some products for the Q for a change would be sweet.

Since we are talking bout springs being custom made... how bout some larger sway bars ? I am "stuck" with just the front bar on my STD car, as I always forget to check the classifieds for any "Active" rear sway bars. Something like the 24mm old Stillen bar would be nice to have.

Let us know on how you going to turbo your Q. I have done plenty of work on my own Q and turbocharging it would be yet another fun project. I've done alot of turbo installs etc in the past so this deff does no scare me. I pondering the thoughts of turbocharging my 01 Max right now, but like most LARGE projects of mine it takes months to complete them- like my engine rebuild on the Q.

Can you elaborate a little? I don't see the connection.

Any decent dictionary will usually show something like this:

Honor=High respect, as that shown for special merit; esteem: the honor shown to a Nobel laureate.

Honor=Good name; reputation.

Honor=homage, reverence, veneration, deference

Honor= A mark, token, or gesture of respect or distinction: the place of honor at the table,

That was my point there is no real connection, or should I say there is rarely a connection at least with strangers when It comes to free enterprise. I was responding to ceningolmos post...

I wasn't happy with the price on the last group buy, so I re-negotiated with Simon and got a better price by purchasing all of them. ...... They're sitting in my shop, and they are available only to NICOclub members.
And to Ceningolmo's point, one more comment on this whole deal. As a group buy participant, your actions cost me a good chunk of change.

I was about to pull the strings on purchasing a set of springs for $139+shipping from Simon, when I heard from Wes about the group buy. Even though it was a little more expensive, it was my choice to participate in the group buy, both to help group volume commitment as well as to let Wes handle the transaction with Simon. I appreciate what this forum provides for the benefit of all of us, and for the many hours that people like Wes and others contribute to make it happen.

I purchased the last set from Simon for $275, the day after the 13 units had been essentially taken out of the market, and the group buy participants were left high and dry. I did not like it, but I felt I was lucky at the time….beggars can’t be choosers.

You violated the cooperative nature of this interest group. You had been involved previously, but what happened? Was there a reason you could not contact Wes and let him know that you were going to be noble; take the financial risk, buy the inventory and offer sell it at to NICO members at the better price? Was this to complex for you?

You disrespected the members who sent the money to purchase the springs, and Wes’ time and effort to make it happen. Only you know your intentions, but if the arrogance displayed in your post is any indication, you are fortunate that members of this forum would want the springs bad enough to be willing to deal with you. Otherwise, you’d be hawking the springs on Ebay for months with (0) bids, just like the previous vendor. But you're probably better than him, right?

I am at work so I didn't have time to read the whole thread, but first off I want to say thank you to Wes. I/we really appreciate you taking the time to try and set up a group buy to help out the community. I understand the annoyance of trying to organize parts sales, trust me...especially when it didn't necessarily benefit you seeing as how you had a set already yourself.

Secondly, now that I can't get a set of cali-custom springs even if I wanted to from the second source...I took it upon myself to contact Espelir. I work at Titan Motorsports in sales and I dispatched an e-mail to them today to see what they could do in terms of pricing and availability. It may take a few days but I'll update you guys when I hear anything back from them.

I know there is a possibility that some copies are being made and if that comes to fruition then maybe the Espelir deal won't be necessary, but for the time being I'll try and see what information I can come up with.

Regards,

Mark Conte

BMWKiller - I sent you a check over a week ago and have not heard weather or not you've received it. I've also sent you emails regarding the same topic. I'm in need of my springs - please let me know if there are any issues.

I find it amusing that in the beginning everyone was behind Wes and all Gun Ho but after a guy with 90 posts says "Hey I bought if you dont like it to bad but here is the price for them." everyone starts buying them.

I hope everyone realizes that a bunch of words typed on a screen dont mean **** to most. I on the other hand believe that an example should have been made of this dude.

He basically said kiss my *** with your complaints and buy my springs bishez. I dont care what he says he had no choice but to come clean on here. The majority of people buying the springs online are guys from this forum since it is the best if not the only Q45 forum out there.

To those who purchased from him think about it. Was it really worth some guy telling you when to buy ****.

I am disappointed in where this forum has been going as of late.
