I have been to 2 meets that I knew of in norcal and each time there was no more then 3 NICO members. Why cant the nor cal nico memebers get together in a show of superiority? I would like to at least once see NICO members dominate an event here. Is thaqt to much to ask?

How bout a roll call of nico members north of modesto to the oregon border. There has to be more then 5 or 6!!

So far here's a list of members. Post and I will add you, include your location and real name.

EDIT: I am also compiling an email list to notify each one of you when a nor cal event happens so you dont miss them. Some of you already know this as you got an email for the milpitas meet.

Walnut Creek here...

When there's a NorCal meet, someone should post a thread in General Chat (link it to this forum) and in their Sig about it. There's sooooooo many NorCal members on here that it's insane, but people like me often forget to check the meets section. Hell I'd even bump the thread to make sure its out there. I know one guy (Dal2kvvisp) that knows about 5 or 6 new 240 owners just in our area alone. Include me, my neighbor (240 owner), and a few other folks, and you have about 10 people right there. Just gotta post a notice about it somewhere that there's traffic.

I'm actually thinking of putting something together next month in Walnut Creek, unless a better location comes up. I'll keep you guys posted.

(Yes I know this isn't Modesto - Oregon, but it's not like I'd mind driving )

I think that you guys should just get a date set for the month of May, get people noticed say it's the biggest meet, and people will come, it starts off with a specific date get some people to go and the rest will follow. I know alot of people who have been waiting for a larger meet than the rest.

I have recently joined a local club called team driven, they dont just have nissans but that is their primary car and what they are all about. I am sure you have seen their posts here from time to time. When they get something together its usually pretty sizable. Both that I have been to they pretty much made them happen, the first even was like 80 cars and over 100 people. the second one was about 50 or so cars. They also organized an event at the dealer I was working for and had over 100 cars show. it actually was a vender presence event. With a car show. I just happen to be there working on my own car that day. But keep an eye on this forum for stuff like that. The event we did more recently was in EDIT Freemont at the end of last month. Only one NICO member made it to that one not including myself.

I also include all of the bay area as part of nor cal. Basically draw a line from east to west at about or 50 to 100 miles south of modestoacross the state and go up from there[Fresno is about the only big name city I know of south of modesto, thats socal territory that far down]

Rolling hard in EG!

Before we formed TD (and even sometimes after it), having people show up to meets/events was like asking people to show up at the dentist's office.

The thing is, a lot of "newbies" (and even veteran members) for one reason or another will not go to an event unless there's "a lot" of people going, too. Have any of them ever wondered what if everyone else thought like that? NO ONE WOULD SHOW UP. That's just my opinion, of course.

I think it the simple fact that we should post meets on a sticky, so that it will be at the top of the page and so people will know when there is a meet, i found out late about the meet in norht highlands and came too late. Anybody there either was about to leave and the rest already left. I would like to see more meets more often. That's why 99.9% of meets are on saturdays or sundays because that's when people don't work!

At this point I wasnt so much trying to put one together at the moment, I wanted to get a list of sorts of all the norcal people. and get their opinion on why they dont tend to make it, obviously people not visiting the meets forum regularly is the problem.

I am going to edit my first post in this thread a little later to include a list of norcal members and update it with new people everytime a post is made. If you have already posted and your location is not listed on the left please post it now. and I will get you in that list. I really want to see just how many look over this forum.

I'm gonna drag 3 of the folks I know personally from NICO to this forum so they can be added to the "mailing list"

I'm down for whatever meet we have. I'll even contribute some of my famous BBQ.

kurin_san / clint (my nickname is kurin) / Modesto (209 Mo-Town!).I've had 3 240sx and 2 hachi-roku'sa white '91 coupe s13, a '90 black rhs13, a red '86 liftback hachi, a white '84 coupe hachi, and the true love of my life my current car a '90 fastback rhs13. I've been into drifting since 2001 but haven't really competed against other people though. I've been practicing REAL gutter technique lately until I get a 2-way LSD. (the stock differential kills the 240's drift potential =/ ). Anyways I've not really posted alot online forums before. I did try and get a hachi-drift crew going around modesto before but it never really took off. Well, I'm down for a nicoclub meeting. I'll be checking this post regularly. Peace...
