when I'm up home I'm in Santa Cruz... been a long time since I've been to a norcal meet. I'll be home a couple weeks out of the summer, I'd love to hit up a meet if there's anything going on while I'm home.

Aj I think it would be interesting to do the swap since I have not yet layed my hands on a jdm set up. It would definitly help me get up to speed on what you guys are doin. I know USDM like the back of my hand its the JDM stuff I am not so familier with. Mainly the interweaving of the 2 cars. This is something I might consider, but I work on saturadys this month as I stated earlier.

I think I've seen your car a few times on 80 near Fairfield.

Why the change of your user name?

No Getting this thing street legal again is becoming a total fuster cluck. The DMV wouldnt do VIN verification cause at one time the dash was replaced and the dealer that did it didnt rivit it to the dash. So now I have to go to the CHP to have it verified by other vins on the car. The snotty broad that I made the appointment through told me I need to bring reciepts for what I replaced or they would take the parts I didnt have reciepts for. I hope that doesnt apply to the parts the previous owner replaced before the accident. Fortunitly I have the reciept for dash install. The prior owner was basically trying to restore this car so hopefully the stuff he replaced is not vin stamped. The earliest appointment I could get with CHP was July 5th.

Partly. I do not tend to look at the Meets forum ... came to this thread via the link in your sig!

However, one other difficulty for me is that I tend to reserve the weekend for family time - my wife and son get my attention. So, during the week (like a lunch or something) would make it easier for me.

An exception is the Pleasanton meet on July 23rd. My wife and son are away visiting grandparents, so I am going to try and be there for this one. I did not hear about it through the Meets forum - saw a post by Evan elsewhere. I guess I need to look in the Meets forum more often.

Z this here is the same reason I dont tend to attend meets. Some of the meets that take place are family oriented since TD has members that have kids the events are typically planned at parks where the kids can run free. My problem is my wife and kids are not into cars at all so they hold no intrest to go. So we end up doing other things.

Yes, indeed. Although my son is interested in cars a lot - for a seven year old, he does pretty well in this regard! His trip to the San Jose Auto Show last year was a lot of fun.

His weekends also tend to get booked up (piano lessons, swim classes, etc.) so, again, it makes things difficult if the meet is far enough away that the drive would take too much time to get to it. I almost made it (with him in tow) to one last year that was closer to home, but something came up (I forget what!)

So, I have not been looking in here too much as a result. Oh, well.
