Actually no Nissan did produce around 400 sil-eighties. The magazine articles and other info has already been proven.

This is such a big controversy...supposedly, nissan never made sil80s. They provided the parts to a company by the name of kid's heart, they made 400-500 sil80s and supposedly sold them on nissan lots. This could be hearsay or true, but from what people have told (from us to japan to australia) nissan never ACUTALLY made sil80s.
