no need for sil80 conversions

ya they only made like 400 sil-80's but Nissan did do it. They spiced up the motor to add another 20 or so horsepower, as well as made the suspension more drift orientated for people(like me) who like to get tail happy

This argument has been discussed in many threads. I wish people would do searches more often...

type x doesnt distinguish the lights, kouki does, search on that one too

and half of the other crap up there isnt entirely right either, just research urself and then ull be fine`

I have been researching and i know a whole lot more. iv been a nissan fan since i was 12. Now i look at what i wrote, i mis expolained cuz i kant type what i think. but ive done a lot of research and still am doing it.

I agree with budd on this one... Spec u later you need to get your facts straight and quit giving people the wrong information.. Does anyone else get irritated when people refer to a jdm S13 silvia as just an "S13" Theres mass bodys that were put onto the S13 chassis.. And correct me if I am wrong but didn't the Nissan sil-80 actually come with with a ca18det that just had a better stock intake and a few other small misc. things? So what is Spec u later talking about "A sil-80 is a 180sx with a Sr20 in place of the CA18 and a S13 front end conversion" What is this S13 front end conversion? If I put the front body panels off any car that came on the S13 chassis on my car is that the S13 front end conversion:rolleyes .If you swapped an Sr20det in a 240 fb and put an S13 silvia front end on it wouldnt that be called an sil-00 or if your talking body a sil-40? Where not in Japan.. And If you did ship over a real 180 then take off the real 180 front and put the silvia front on it Id call you stupid.. All these Jdm fanboy's sicken me..

KA swaps in japan? are you for reals???!? thats pretty interesting. i read in super street that yashio factory was gonna make some parts for the ka24de. right now there in prototype stages right now. yashio factory has a usdm 240 with a srswap rite now but are working on the ka24 i think. but if the ka swap is goin down in japan. then im gonna keep my soch and do turbo.

least u have a job to mod yer car. ive been looking for one sooooooo bad, i save up my 50 bucks a week and werk once a week for my step dad and thats like an extra 60-80 bucks.

i think it will be great for some parts to come out for the ka24de its realy a pretty good motor considering the displacment and killer stoke its got.... it could easily run two turbos.....

and for the front end conversion stuff i got a 95 and i put the 97-98 with kouki signals and then BN style bumper it looks clean as F*#K

Ya know I may have been incorrect on a few points, BFD. I was simply trying to help while you were here to critisize. I don't apreciate the JDM fanboy comment either. I will assume that was directed at me since you chose to single me out. I am a huge JDM fan ever since I was stationed in Tokyo for two years. Is that a problem? And when did anyone just say s13 because I made a point of saying s13 silvia which seems preety clear to me. If you can't understand then let me break it down for ya. The Silvia was the Japanese s13 and teh 240sx is the American s13. So when I say s13 Silvia I mean your "JDM" version. Now if you were not referring to me then I am sorry and take back what I said, otherwise have a nice day:D

wow, i feel 10x dumber. i think i'll get my spoon also.

but oddly enough, i feel i should make the corrections:

a "sil80" is just a 180sx with an S13 Silvia front end. as stated, this was done because it was cheaper to do. not so now since the S13 front is in high demand and everyone is making a pretty penny off of them.

a "Onevia" is a JDM S13 silvia with the 180sx front on it.

people like to call the 240sx coupe a Onevia, but its not quite that. also just putting a silvia front on a 240 hatch with get you a sil40, if you want to get technical. if you want to do a 180sx conversion using just exterior stuff, the two main things that need to be done are the rear quarter panels, and the tails. if you want go a step farther, you could do a kouki conversion, which includes the so called type x tails which are actually just kouki tails since they can standard on all 96-98 180sx's. also, the side skirts and bumper need to be changed if you you want to do a proper conversion. Nissan never made the Sil80, Kidheart or something like that, a local dealership, did them. they did a retune on the SR, custom rear facia, and custom rear quarter glass. and the front grill is different. it doesnt matter what engine you run, it doesnt have to be an SR since the orig 180s had a CA, hence the name. I hope this clears up most of the questions and mistakes.

After I "got you good" I gave my friend a high five and took a huge slurp of my delicious Capri Sun(pacific cooler of course). Man what a great end to a day of getting swirlys and having my clothes laid out for me;) And I didn't put jdm title in quote's, I put "JdM tItE" In quotes.. You know its usually quoted that way by punks in civics that pay 800 bucks for a stock mugen b16 valve cover! Or for that matter 500 for 180sx quarter panel glasses just so there's can say 180sx instead of 240sx.. Wow I wish I can pay alot of money to make my car look like a stock car in Japan:( Haha just screwin with you man dont take things so seriously its just the internet..
