I'll check them out but I'm probably going to go with a local shop. I just wonder if they can fab me a down pipe with no problems.

Is a flex pipe noticable?

Maybe that's why these guys keep cracking manifolds.

Where do I get a reasonably priced flex pipe?

*BUMP*

Hey guys, I just had my freebie, rusted cat back re-done by Mighty Muffler in Aston, PA. They did an AWESOME job and I love it. They added a magnaflow resonator (18") and took out some of the useless bends that the old pacesetter piping had before. I'm putting a DC Sports header on it eventually and I wanted the exhaust a little quieter. The also painted it w/ high temp engine paint and redid all the hangers in stainless steel. I wanted to keep my Magnaflow racing series muffler so they made it work w/ the new piping.

Price:$300, little more than i was quoted but I practically have a brand-new exhaust!

Check it out!

Seriously, go by word of mouth. I told one of my local 240 friends to go to 'mighty muffler' and he ended up going to a franchise by the same name in MD (one that did my work is a family-run business in PA). They did the WORST job i've ever seen in my life. We're talking, no flanges, crappy welds, dents in the piping, and they even cut off part of the stock down pipe and welded the cat. converter onto it. So if he ever wants to go back to stock.. he's SOL!

Sorry, no pics, but I have installed my OBX header with a flange adapter going to 2.5 mandrel bent piping. There are only 3 bends in my pipe, none are over 30 degrees. I have a 26 inch resonator, 2.5 core, 3.5 body. I have a cali special turbo muffler in the back, with a DTM tip. The sound is incredible. Super deep at idle, not much louder than stock. As the revs increase, it takes on a much more evil sound, but never raspy or high pitched. It sounds like a GN kind of, without the turbo whine. All of my pony car boys like the sound. They want to know wht that muffler will sound like on their cars.

Oh, I forgot the cost. $170 shipped for header and flange adapter (test pipe), and less than $100 for all piping and mufflers. Love redneck shops!
