....or....you can ALL stay here permanently

And, Robert. Of course I encourage the Search feature. I welcome new folks, if they are going to ask the same question so be it (its bound to happen). They can then be directed to the search function if necessary. I'm not a "Search Nazi" and get pissy if someone doesn't.

I bet it comes back, dude just forgot to renew the domain. But have to admit ever since the 4th gen Alts came out a whole new breed of members showed up. Some of which I don't think have ever owned a car, got to be some of the gayest fuggin posts I've ever read. The good guys who knew anything quit posting and it all went to crap. Oh well greetings NICO members

there are a number of knowledgeable people on this forum, but now that we'll be getting more... the more the better. But I would say from reading the posts here that the "average" NICO member is not very tech savy (that's not a dis), but we all had to start somewhere right. So IAMTHEFEAR, you may get some of those same posts being asked that repulsed you, but hopefully we will all gain a better understanding of our vehicles from NICo and learn from others...

ok, now that being said, you SOCAL nissanclub folks have got to put us up on what's going on with the meet in oxnard next month!

Welcome to NICO! Great Altima you have. Glad to have you on board, especially because of your expertise. We could definitely use more members who can help.

i found this thread dicussing the site being down too. Asleep, Nismom, Coach, Ultimatic are all discussing it here. they think that the three new admins, including ekool let it diehxxp://www.nicoclub.com/off-topic/140822-nissanclub-down.html

change nicoclub to nissan_forums without the underscore. and change the x's into t's for some reason it turns into nicoclub

If NissanForums is owned by the same company I'll probably just stay here. Who owns this place? Is it heavily regulated? I've been registered since 2002, but mainly just lurked in the 240sx forums. Where will I go now for all of my racist jokes and jail-bait p0rn?

I would like to welcome all the new folks that are popping in and enjoy the stay..

To answer you question adhesive, Greg(AZHitman) owns this site. I'm not sure what you mean about regulated, but I will confirm we "admin/mods" will not tolerate any "garbage", period.

As stated above, NICO is owned by AZhitman who is a true Nissan nut. The history of NICO can be found here:

http://www.nicoclub.com/subpages/nicohistory.shtml

We are the largest all-Nissan/Infiniti site on the internet. We are in BigBoards top 500 forums (425 currently) and are growing rapidly. We are a community of Nissan fans first and car enthusiasts second (some members just like it here and don't even own a Nissan). We put on 5-6 large events yearly (NICOfest) for members as can be seen via the Events drop-down off the http://www.nicoclub.com homepage.

As far as regulated, we try and keep things as PG-13 as much as possible and we have quite a large Mod staff to try and keep things from getting too far out of hand. No, we are not some "touchy-feely" site at all, we just try and keep it a clean and fun environment (within reason)

Surf around and see what we have to offer. Check out our other sub-forums as well. We are a pretty big community and we have appx 4-5x the number of posts as seen on NissanClub at any given time. We are always wanting to grow and the Altima forum has been growing quite nicely with the release of the Coupe. I would love to be able to grow our Altima Forums to be THE source for Altima fanatics (similar to what altimas.net used to be). Of course, doing that is up to Altima owners.

Welcome aboard, all!

As audtatious stated above, we try to be very responsive here to members' requests, and try to accomodate a pretty broad range of tastes.

I have it on pretty good authority that the old NC as it was will not be returning. My only concern with that ios the loss of a lot of good information. If anyone has an "inside line" to whoever held the dBase for those forums, I'd be glad to foot the bill to have all the content migrated over.

However, based on the limited info I have and my prior knowledge of what went down, it's doubtful.

Please bear in mind that the staff and I will be burning the midnight oil to make sure you guys don't miss a thing, and we'll be glad to hear any suggestions you may have.

For those of you who don't yet have an FSM for your Altima, check out our collection of manuals online at Altima Factory Service Manuals

Again, welcome to all the NC refugees. We hope you make NICOclub your new home. I'm glad you've all popped in.

It's good to see some familiar names. I'm hoping some of the veterans come aboard, especially the ones that have torn their cars apart, and reassembled them. I realize now how much I depended on the search function over on NC. I found 80-90% of my inquiries from their past posts.

We realize that content is valuable and we are actively looking for and documenting "members articles" for our tech pages. You can see what I mean by looking at http://www.240sxtech.com . We have started doing similar for the Altima on altimacoupe.com but we have a long way to go. I'd like to have a Altima how-to section similar to the 240 page listed above and why I really hope to keep growing to a strong altima owners base.
