If so I just popped the emblem off and I was good to go I have an LE and didn't have to modify anything other than adding "L" brackets where needed.
thats the thing, my front emblem is already off and when i just kinda "put" the grill there it simply wont sit flush!

After you get it strapped down it should fit proper.

got the main and middle billet on, the bottom three go on tommorow.

its kinda diffuclt to see so im goign to see what it looks like at night all in all, if you have a grinder to take out that middle beam, its pretty simple.... make use of the "squares" in the grille when you feed the zap straps through.

I figured it out, 01 and 02 grilles are different, your main beam doesnt stick out like the 02's. At least thats what I noticed when looking at other pathy's... some stick out more then the others

Thanks for the pics, black grilles look great with white color. Is the black even? In the second pic it looks like it is faded in places, maybe its the light. If you are happy with the fit and finish I might go ahead and order the lower grill part. Any close ups of install? The lower grille installed with zappity straps and or l brackets?

you know what, during install it turned out everythign needed to be zapped in. the lowest part when i put the brackets there was lieterally NO WHERE to stick it to... i drilled holes on either side of the gap, stuck straps through and voila! its stuck in place and doesnt move and if it does magically pops out the straps hold it.

Black paint is even, it must be the ligh, mind you i did remove the grille prior and painted over the chrome trim. again keeping with my concept of no chorme on the car

Hey guys I have a few questions on the install of the main grille. I am looking to get the upper and lower from grille4u on ebay. They offer two styles bolt on and cutout. It seems like the bolt on is held on with straps. Is it a solid connection? I also see in pics that you can stil see the center piece of the stock grille, I dont like that. As far as the cut out does anyone know how that installs? I am also questionable on hacking up the stock grille incase things change in the future. I am just looking for some pros and cons on each and which one you guys suggest. Also if anyone has pics of how these are attached it would be great. I am really looking to get this soon since the nice weather is approaching. Thanks

You mean cut more of the center piece out so I dont see? If thats the case then I should go with the cutout grill instead of the bolt on one.

Ok guys so let me see if I understand what to do here...

this is the front of my Pathfinder...
Image

this is the grille set I would like to purchase http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-P ... 27b99f6479 I would like to buy the 5pc set like Slickrogers but I can't find one? Anyway with this grille set I would not have to remove the logo(emblem) and the new grille should install over the existing original grille? If that is the case should I paint the silver part of the original grille black?

Also I did remove the silver shell frame already just to see what I was going to have to do although I am not even sure I needed to remove it.

Innovazn that grille looks great... all the links in this post are dead anyone direct me to where I can purchase a 5pc grille set?

thanks to everyone in this forum helped me get my head unit installed and change my cluster lamps to blue LED... thanks again...

I will post pictures hopefully tomorrow of what I mean.. the two top larger parts went on with no problems... but it is late and I can't think straight now...

thanks
Ps i have a 2001 Pathfinde

Innovazn... Do you mean to drill where I have place the red arrows in the picture below?

Image

The picture below is of the two larger grilles, they were easy to install... and also has anyone painted the black fog light grille the part that is black... I would like to paint it to match the silver this way the entire front end is silver! Also I have seen clear lens fog lights can anyone point me in the direction to purchase replacement lights(with the clear lens) to replace these(both are cracked from flying rocks) and I would like to replace the headlight/turn signal light with new lamps as well need something brighter... thanks to everyone in this forum!

Ok here is my final on my 5pc front grille... I would recommend to anyone doing this to start from the bottom 3 grilles and work your way to the top larger ... it is easier to get your hands behind them without the other two larger grilles already installed. Just wanted to say thanks to Innovazn for his help and information... looks like I may need to spray another coat of the flat black behind the top grille as I can still see the old grille behind it. When I get my (clear lens) new fog lights I will be painting the black grille vents to the inside of each silver to match the rest of the front... that's another day however...

Innovazn-- i tried to quote the image but i failed. i wanted to know if you can help me out. I wanted to do the same as you. I ordered some black rims a week ago and will put them on, on friday. the truck will hopefully be in the body shop saturday. In the mean time i was looking for a while and was worried as to where to get the other stuff. That being the head lights you got and the 5 piece black grill you got. I saw in your post you painted the chrome around the grill, and wanted to know what paint you used. if you can post some links and or any info that would be great. as i am trying to get this all set up for my road trip in august. Sorry for the long newbie post but hopefully you can help me out. thx

Nope! never gave them the oppurtunity to steal my pics. My trucks white. I believe they stole slick rogers pictures though...

@ xxectoxx

in terms of paint and stuff, i mean i used to do Auto Body and painting so to me, anything kinda works.
I used the typical plasti kote crap from the local auto parts store (or duplicolour) dont remember.
Anyways some of that with some plastic primer and a touch of 600 sand paper or scuff pad.
Tape off your grill, scuff the trim, primer the trim let it dry + quick scuff, not too much just lightly
clean it thoroughly with some wax and grease remover (dish soap is pretty good for that but not always) I personally used wax and grease remover,
hung dry and painted 4 coats and left it at that.

Good Luck, repost if you want more detailed questions and pictures, ill go scrounge up my old stuff and show you. Just at work right now

Innovazn- ok np, first off before we get to the grill stuff. where did you get your head lights? Ive looked on eBay and there are a few sellers selling blacked out headlights, but the image is the same for each seller yet there prices are totally different and I don't want to get a crappy pair.
