Seriously, how many times have we had some annoying kid go off on a rant like that? do you really want to read it? does it help to know exactly what was said? I think its cool that anyone of any age can get on this forum to learn about cars.

tho, we could be a little less strict on the NWF and nudity =)

and we should be allowed to circumvent the filters for ****pit.

I must agree with the administration's point, not to mention it probably detracts the attention of would be posters who have nothing better to do than bash our automotive prefference. Besides, who doesn't understand the filtered words anyway. I don't think its a big deal.

i think it looks funnier censored anyways. we all know whats really there. i say keep it, cuz alot of other ppl said it just makes you come up with more creative uses of words. dont get me wrong, ill cuss from time to time when im pissed, but when you cuss constantly it makes you look like a moron with a VERY limited vocabulary.

I think its grate that hard core profanity and subject are restricted but...I think the filters are too strict, words like as* <- different word for butt and B**** <- female dog, makes this forum G rated...come one lets make it PG

You know, if you seriously can't deal with not being able to use profanity, then you are going to have a hard time dealing with building your career. I doubt it would go over too well if you gave a presentation at a meeting and was cussing in it. Not judging here, but that is reality. But there is an appropriate time and place for everything. If the NICO owner doesn't want it here, then that's his choice. And if it's that much of a problem, you can always choose not to be here or to build your own forum and put your own hard work into it to make it work. I'm not trying to be mean or harsh, I'm just being straightforward here.

And as far as freedom of speech is concerned, try not to take it so literally. The intent of Freedom of Speech originated from the way a government would supress what people could say against say....the government. I enjoy the freedom to talk crap about the people who lead us. It was never really intended to allow us to use some choice words.

ouch....like I said I don't use profanity in my daily life and I’ll be on my friends case if they start cursing, but there is a big difference between giving a presentation and being in an online car forum, I find it sometimes frustrating if want to say something and can’t and need to find other words to describe my feelings or the situation I’m in, that sometimes is a good thing, but sometimes ******* EDIT: ...............^^^ see what i mean
