THis is Greg's forum. He owns the site. He chooses who his mods are. And if he wants you gone, youre gone! I noticed that when I posted in some political threads, they seemed to get locked quickly. SO I stopped posting on those topics. I havent had a thread locked/deleted since.

Sure you can be a dumbas and posted some stupid stuff. Or you can be genuinely expressing your opinion. Either way, if the mods dont like it, its gone. This is not a democracy; its a dictatorship. Once you learn to accept that, everything will be fine.

You have two choices: comply or get the boot. Frankly, I dont think our mods care which one you do. But thats the only way to keep NICO the great place that it is.

We are just members, we do not have any say in how things are dealt with. We do not own this forum. Greg does. This is Gregs forum, he can do as he wishes. If you don't like it, you have your walking papers. Now if you have a suggestion, and offer to take part in whatever needs to be done, I believe the staff will be more than willing to co-operate. This is not a democracy guys. However, Greg isn't a Mussolini either

What must be understood, if it isn't obvious, is that "YOUR" is the collective of ALL members here. We can't condone a post that's acceptable to 20 members if it offends 1000 members, or even 10 members sometimes. No firm rules, no black and white equations. The mods just have to go with their gut feel and judgement. If there's any doubt (and often there is) we discuss it before taking action.

I thought some pics posted recently were crude at best and probably offensive to our small and shrinking female population. It's not about making people unhappy. I suggested a time-out to drive the point home. It was never meant to be permanent.

Based on the first page of posts in this thread, sounds like there were some controversial debate type topics going on. I find these to be not only fun to discuss but enlightening. Where these go wrong is when people start attacking each other and not the arguments. Don't do it. And if someone makes a personal attack in a thread like this, don't reciprocate it. Just get back to the topic at hand. Perhaps at most, point out that the other person is making a personal attack and not arguing the topic. It usually takes away their credibility and loses them the argument or at least puts them on their heels anyways. We are not in a forum to simply agree on everything. There is nothing wrong with differing opinions. Calling someone names for it though, is wrong. Leave the sandbox antics in the sandbox.

But boss, you been on here a long time. You know this community as well as I do. I tend to be opinonated myself, as we have seen in our famed debate threads. But you have to show some restraint sometimes. If you are like me, you have to show some restraint most of the time.

I am glad you have an opinion, and will share it. I have one and share it. But brother, we have got to show restraint about what we say, and be mindfull about how we say it.
