I had the Dunlop Grandtreks and they were trouble free for me for my 2016 Rogue. However, I am currently running The Assurance Maxlife on my Acura (245/50R20) and these bad boys are loosing balance out of nowhere like from immediately to couple hundred miles. Where have you purchased your Goodyear's from?Lone Wolff wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 12:46 pmWe put new tires on our 2015 in May 2019. Went with Goodyear Assurance MAXLIFE. 80,000 mile treadlife with 11/32" when new. As opposed to the 65,000 treadlife for the standard Assurance tires at 9/32" depth when new. Size 225/60-18 for the SL were around $150 each. 17" tires for your SV might be cheaper.
Handling is as good or better than the OEM Dunlop Grandtreks that came with the car.
Local Tire shop. No issues with anything in the 18 months we've had them. Handle snow great.datechboss101 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:04 pm

I'd suggest you going with Discount Tire with these tires. These are okay but I cannot speak that well for the General Tire brand, but since they are owned by Continental, I would say given them a try and see how you like them.Roguenewbie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 5:06 pmWhatta think of these ? I love my General Grabbers that I have on my Pilot and had on my Grand Cherokee.
Discount Tire gave me two sets of tires for free just because the first set was bad. Its just something to look into if something does go bad with these tires, since tire rack doesn't have any stores that you can just go and say "i need warranty replacement on my new tires". My 2 cents for this.Roguenewbie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:30 pmSame price at Discount Tire - $176,00. Looks like the customer reviews on them there are good as well. I like to buy them when they have the "buy 3 get the 4th tire free" promo.
Actually it honestly depends on the place that's offering the buy 3 get 1 free. Really have to read the fine print. My local Honda dealer was offering that plus free rotations and balancing. Basically that offer I would have been paying for 3 tires, disposal fee, new tire tax, and alignment for 4 tires. But here's the catch: They didn't have the tires I wanted in stock and their vendor doesn't carry them at all. And they were pushing for Goodyear and Michelins. I honestly would've went with Goodyears if corporate wasn't so political; yet, i still ended up with them for free (gotta love warranties).casperfun wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 7:31 pmThose buy 3 get the 4th free is a gimmick. You practically pay the same in the end. All semantics just to make you feel all warm and cuddly inside thinking you getting a deal.
I fell for it in the past cuz i was stupid.
Look for rebates or getting discounts from getting a credit card from the tire store. Or rewards card for applying for the credit card. Military discounts.
I applied for a credit card to get a discount. Paid approximately $700 a week later. Done. Never used the card again.
Got the tire insurance certificate, free air, rotation, etc.
Did this last July.
Funny thing is I'm getting 2mpg better mileage moving from 17inch oem wheels & 27 inch performance tires to 16in wheels & 29 inch all terrain tires. At least according to my nissan display. Yes, I have terrible mileage.
Even though the latter is 1-2 pounds heavier of unsprung weight on all 4 corners.
I created a spreadsheet that when I just enter my numbers it automatically does the calculations for me (did this for my old Rogue and currently doing this with my current vehicle). But still, holy cow, 18 MPG in city is worse than me with a V6 engine. I wouldn't say its the fuel cleaners; its more inline with the additional weight in the vehicle and the constant stop and go driving. But even with constant stop and go driving, you should be getting in the low to mid 20s.
I know Miami weather very well. I got my tires for my 16 in CS not far from Miami (basically Nissan dealer). Miami weather isn’t that far off from Orlando weather.
