Got the switch from http://www.Oznium.com about 7 bucks shipped!ankit wrote:Clean install, I would have gone with white lights but red is still nice.
Can you tell us where you got the lights and the switch from?

Its moderately simple, even for a beginner. Again, I've been into car audio/video for years, so it was pretty simple for me. Each light is permanently attached to the controller switch (not shown above) after I cut those off, there were four individual wires inside, I simply figured out which ones were grounds and which one was positive, spliced all the grounds together, spliced all the power together, then connected those to the corresponding wires on the switch. I used a drill and then a dremel to create the hole.Malves85 wrote:That looks really good. Want to come do my car in Blue. I would love to get that done. How idiot proof is it?
go to oznium --> Switches --> Round Rocker Switch--> Amber LED
Yes, there's a pop out panel down below your right knee, I used that one because, if I messed up drilling the hole, that piece is very cheap to replace from the factory!longbeachcoupe wrote:Hey doc... im thinking about doing this to my ride... Where is that button you installed located (i dont know the panel, is it the one by your right knee? Also... i have 2 empty switchplates next to my trunk pop.... id love to use them! Im trying to decide what color i want to use in the car now.. im tired of the white light... i actually saw some UV purple leds....
yes, footwell lights, regardless of color, are legal as long as they can't be seen by other vehicles. The 08 Hondas have an option from the factory to come with blue illuminated footwell accent lights. It looks just like mine, its just blue.Sensors wrote:i want to put amber/orange lights at my feet too, just not sure what LED's too buy cuz i dont want them too bright, and r they lights that legal in NJ cuz if not then i wud need to get a switch...
it seems odd that you could get a ticket for footwell lights that have obviously been DOT approved if they come as an option from the factory from Honda... I'd check on the accuracy of that statement!Serkle K wrote:you should get the switch reguardless... and you can get a ticket for them if you get pulled over in NJ and they see the lights they can give you an additional ticket for them
I second this! I want to do some lights in the car, but I have NO knowledge AT ALL about electric stuff...if you make a video that tells "run a wire from HERE to HERE, and thats all!" then I'll do it! :-DADKSaad1387 wrote:if its not too much of a pain, could u make a video on a few things1) the different settings your lights have2) a quick "where you ran your wires" just the spot, no need to get too technical
thanks
