Howdy Greg. I'm interested in doing a big mod on the vert. Looking at 2.5 stainless catback with 22" resonator. I'm guessing I won't -really- need a high flow cat as I'm staying N/A.

I have to ask though, what styles of duel tip mufflers do you have? It seems like there's three or four different kinds pictured in that first post. One last question cause I have to ask, there shouldn't be any clearance problems with the convertibles, right? The car isn't lowered, and I'm just worried about having it installed right and being able to clear the potholes.

I'd also like to grab a decent set of headers, but I have no idea where to start looking in that area.

Uhhhhh, dude that's the price it's always been. It's not a "limited time" offer.

Greg, I was wondering the difference in 2.5 and 2.25 piping? any reason not to get the 2.5?

i've got a 3" and i'm on blown shocks in a convertible and i have had no issues of the exhaust hitting the ground, driveway, or potholes so far.

and as long as you've got the ka you'll only need one exhaust header..

I just had my exhaust installed on my s14. Exhaust specs 22" resonator, high flow catalytic converter 2.5" diameter piping 4" tip. The shop owner told me the fitting was a disaster. The exhaust was hitting the rear sway bar and then when adjusted to clear the muffler would hit the rear axle. They had to wrestle with the thing to fit properly but all is good. maybe it's just me who had this problem. I also purchased new exhaust hangers to be installed at the same time. Other then that it's on and sounding pretty nice.

I have heard sound clips of the system but hearing it live is a different story. I thought it would have sounded a tad louder when idle but sounds the same to me when stock. Hard accelerating there is a nice deep tone and no throaty sound. The next day going on the on ramp onto the highway right behind me there is a Skyline R32 on my tail. So of course I kicked it into high gear (this is a stock KA24DE mind you) and the guy in the Skyline looks over at me, waives me down so we pull over to the shoulder. He told me he liked the sound the exhaust made. He thought I had something sleeping under the hood but when he found out it was bone stock he understood why I was going a tad slow...

See first post in thread.

3" will bolt up to stock cat but is unnecessary unless you're running big boost.

Got my exhaust installed today. 3" with a high flow cat and 22" resonator.

Fitment was terrible, the resonator was sitting extremely snug in the rear sway bar. The shop cut out the resonator along with some of the pipe in front of it, flipped it around, and welded it. No more problems.

I couldn't even tell my car was on at idle, it was so quiet. When I get on it, it gets loud. It sounds so amazing.

I'll take some pictures and make another post tomorrow. I'll definitely show what was done with the resonator as well.

Thanks Philipio -

Looks like we may have an issue with that damn jig again... It was fixed for a while, but after welding a crap-ton of systems on it over and over, I'm sure it's due for a refurbishing.

Here's a picture of what had to happen with the resonator. The red arrows point to where it was cut, flipped around, and welded, due to the resonator resting inside the sway bar.

And a rear pic just because

Powerplant has nothing to do with the exhaust you buy.

As long as the downpipe is in the same location (which I believe it is), this system will bolt up.

Someone let me know when you confirm the fitment issue is cleared up for the s14. I need a new exhaust but there is nothing I hate more than one that buzzes or bumps on the axle.

HI, I'm new here to the forums and just bought a 93 240sx and was looking for an exhaust. How much would you want for it and how old is it? I need it because my car has all stock exhaust on it and it smokes, it really needs a new cat converter bad But it runs great and I love these cars, you have a really nice fastback too. I got my car from a lady who just wanted to get rid of it, got it for 900 bucks and everything was straight on the car, so I'm really happy with it all so far. I'll post some pics soon, it's a good looking 240sx for 900 buckeroos Anyway, if anyone has any good cheap ideas for me to utilize, I would love to hear them, I'm used to working on third gen supras so I'm new to this platform but very happy so far>
