Ok so the block and the head went to the shop they bored the block out and put the bottom end back together for me, i didnt wanne mess with it and they gave me a decent price.I had pix of the head and block but my stupid a$$ deleted the head pix so only have block pix when came back from shop...

So when putting the head on i dint have a camera cause sis took it on vacation so no pix of that but then when i got the head on i got my phone fixed so i got some pix. Then put the cams back in place and almost done.Ok just need to take the motor off the stand put the clutch on and im ready for the transmission to get on it. ALL DONE!!!now it time to put the SR back in the bay.

That's what I thought at first, that's what the pics on first page looked like. That the #4 top of the piston was cracked or part-of was chipped off. But I too was looking for a crack on piston, but wasn't able to see

Diesel mechanic/technician, guess it's going to be more of like maintenance on school buses, but dont really care. I have been looking for like last 2 months. There is lots of $hit jobs out there, I'm not looking for one of those. Okay got to get ready 1 hour till.

Thanks Driftboy! So today i spent almost a whole day taking apart my boys KA to change the timing chain amd let me tell you, its a B***H to work on those motors compared to our SR's man. It took me and him like 3 hours to take the intake mani off!!! we left from there with the intake mani and exh mani off and still need to take the head off and then we can take of the chain, oh wait still gotta raise the motor a bit to take the oil pan off! Man i can take off my intake mani in like not even an hour and it was so long for the KA. If anyone is KA and could go SR but thinking if just should do a KA-T go SR!!!!No dought, KA-T is sweet too, but SR is sooo much easier to wokr on it, no joke...

No that was my head that was already at the shop, now its his head going. so i called they just right now and to check and clean the head its 40 bux and to change the valve seals and adjust the valves he said 290 plus parts. so now i see why TEK payed ever 3 bills. Do you guys know if the altima head is excacly the same as the 240 head?
