Hello all, i do have a question for i am not a radio guy, not scared to fix my own stuff ot wire a radio up, but the radio wattage stuff was never my thing. If this is off topic i do apologize to the mods, wasnt sure where to place it. Anyway, here i go.
I want to update my radio and speakers in my 2011, this project will take me some time. I can only afford to buy a little at a time. My main question is that i want a nice double din stereo to put in and am not sure what kind of wattage to look for? The speakers as ive read on here are 6x9 in front and 6.5 in the rear doors. I DO NOT have the premium sound system. Just the basic stock radio. I would like to get the speakers and install them when i get them but i dont know what kind of wattage to buy on the speakers. I would like a nicer radio ( it will be the last part of the system i buy ), nothing $500 or anything and hate to buy speakers first and then find out the radio cant handle them or vice versa. BUT, i dont want to install the speakers that i choose and have the stock head unit not push them, until i get my new stereo.
I guess my main ????? Is what is a good all around wattage for speakers and radio to use? Im not a bass-head, im a metal head and just want a nice clear sounding sytem that has more punch over the stock sound system. Any ideas would be appreciated and sorry if my words are kinda confusing on my plan.
Cheers
