...Funny thing too, that same vh has been floating around between us for quite a while. In fact, I was the one who pulled it out of a totalled carcass like 6 months ago. I wasn't even on here then.

You drive a bandwagon car just like the rest of us. Get over it.

ive been on this "bandwagon" longer than most people. ive had my car for over 4 years and everytime i try and do my own thing to be different somebody goes and bites my **** and it gets old. and why should i spend a ****load of my money so that somebody else can do the **** for next to nothing. especially since i finally decide to swap my car and now other people are wanting to do the same ****. regardless ive had the idea for a while now, it was either going to be ls1 or vh, due to the ls1 costing twice as much i went vh. i spent a **** ton of money on this swap knowing that i could have made a lot more power another route and the only reason i did it was to be different. anyways, yes i am a d!ck.

I didn't call you a d!ck, I said it was d!ck of you to say that. Don't put words in my mouth.

You most certainly did not invent the VH swap, nor the LS1 swap (which is soooo 2007 by the way). Those options have been there for everyone for quite a while. If you do anything to a 240sx to be different, you're in for a world of hurt with any route you take unless you decide to put a steamroller powerplant in one or something. Lots of people have made their own mounts from looking at others, and its a lttle difficult to copyright it. Plus, like I said, that motor's been around for at least 7 months, if not more, with planning even before that on another 240 project.

I love the way an S chassis looks, and that's why I wanted an S14 even back in 02, don't get me wrong. But these days its just not a car you fix up in order to be 'different'. But that doesn't make them uncool. I mean I'm sure we've all seen every variety of muscle car out there, but you're still a badass in my book if you drive up in a 67 GTO or a 69 Camaro.

I kind of hope one day that some of the cooler japanese sports cars of this age take on that kind of coolness.

On a sidenote: As far as 240's go, you have a car that's different-at least in my book- if you have a 240 that's super clean and well kept. That seems to be the exception rather than the rule at least around here (GA).

I wasn't trying to say we're all a bunch of copycats because we drive 240's, my point was that we should help each other and not have this "what's in it for me" attitude. I hate that.

i agree with you 100% James. the way i see is if the old muscle cars guys didnt help each other out then tuning wouldnt be what it is now days. those guys really paved the way for us and they get mad respect in my books. in all honesty we are the same as them just with different cars.

Guido that does look like Josh's car but i see it as gray and not slate blue but hell i never really asked him the what the color is....lol. anyway Josh is a really cool guy and wont sell people ****ty parts, hes actually my go to guy here in columbia when i need stuff and if he dont have it or knows someone that does then thats when i hit nico up.

how dare you, you son of a *****! I wanted a kouki! I've only had my car since 04, and wanted one since like 01, but I guess I'm a noob too.

Seriously, I wanted one back when that guy in sport compact car started project Silvia, and it only solidified when scc showcased an rb25 powered coupe that was damn sexy... I dont know why the most inspiring 240s for me were s13 coupes when my favorite bodystyle is the S14, but anyway...

I actually can't wait to get my parts car home and start my own S13 coupe project. I'm not flipping cars any more so I can actually devote some time to it...

yea.. i think i had my 240 when they were called "your sisters' car".. My only saving grace back then was the convertible. The slush-o-matic didn't help make it any more sporty..lol. It's a hobby to me. It changes like the wind with it's direction of purpose. I still have a way to go, but bit at a time.
