well in all truthfulness, i think an b20 is a waste of money(no offense to anyone who has it), bu ti just dont see the point of a 2 litre 6cyl when you have a 4cyl with more power.

so thats why i got an rb25 : ]

and college starts aug. 20th..bleh!

Yeah senior year was awesome. I set a record for the most days skipped in one semester with 45 days, and I still passed with straight A's! Well the first semester was a good time to catch up on sleep, but will all good things that had to end. College came and now I am going to be starting my 3rd year. More of a challenge so I am happy about that.

RB20 and SR20 have the same power and can achieve the same power witht he same mods. RB's sound amazing and have alot more torque then the SR's do. Plus its just as easy as an SR swap.

My point. The price is tempting. Throw a R32 crossmember in, and Wiring Harness done from Carl H and BAM, got yourself a RB 240

see then there i would pop in with the hp levels im wanting to run through this car, a lot of places i've asked around at, i'll need to drop in a rb25 transmission anyways..and lets face it, damn sure isn't cheap..it pretty much makes up the difference in initial prices

dont you have to get a diff driveshaft for rb20? a guy i know has an rb20 s13 and it sounds amazing. nothing beats the sound of a straight six, besides the sound of a vq i was surpized today though when my friend told me that that guys rb only put down 170hp 120tq, but hopefully he is mistaken.

anyways, who is down for that meet in spartanburg?

The numbers seem low. Especially torque.

Wuz up peeps, just checkin' out the scene to see what's good with everyone. I wanted to run something by you all to get some opinions. I've been pondering lately that my next car will be AWD and 4-dr which limits me to Subaru and Audi. So I figured Audi would be the better option. I'm thinking 2000-01 a4 or s4(if I can get a good deal). Both come w/ 5spd option, turbo, and range between $7K-11K. Today while on lunch I looked at a 95 n/a 5spd z32. Exterior is decent and the interior is so-so. I'm thinking of trading my 240 even though I'll be lucky to get $1000 for it towards another purchase. I'm not in a hurry to get a car payment, but I would like something that's less of a hassle for a DD. Since my 240 is my DD/Project car, I figure that I can always pick up another one later down the road and resume the project. I have a lot of changes going on in my life (wife has new job, promotion @ my current job, lease expires in Oct.). I'm not really partial to taking on a car payment right now, however I was thinking about picking up some work on the weekend to offset the additional expenses. I know I've been saying that for the longest, but I'll really put out some serious effort this time.

Maybe I'll wait to secure funds and then proceed with step 2. Anyway I still would like opinions about the car. Thanks in advance.

all i can say is wow..my cherokee would have walked all over his car, inline motors make gobs of torque, my little 4 litre six was a killer on acceleration, and i think they weigh in around each other

and gr8bryt, if your looking for an audi, try to pick up an //edit//, i said a5 by accident, it was an a6 //edit//, one of the best ones my family owned. a lot of people will say they aren't worth **** after their warranty is up, but that baby just kept going, had around 179k before they sold it

but thats just my personal experience

ok i might be crazy but ive got a great idea for a meet. we all know there are some of us with cars that arent running or are having major issues so what if we did like monthly meets at those peoples houses and we all worked on getting the cars back on the road and running properly. like i could have a cookout at my house and we could all work on my car if yall are interested and it would help toward getting people into going to meets because they would know if they have car problems we are here to help each other.

Hey Bryton, Audi's are eexxxpppennsive to get parts for, but pretty stout driveline. I'm not a huge fan of AWD, esp when it comes to replacing tires..(sets of four) and Audi's are sticklers for that (sensitive AWD). Subbie's are pretty bulletproof and that motor is very strong... from a reliablity stand point, they have a good reputation from the people I've known over the years (lived in the NE where it snowed like crazy and had lotsa friends with them for the 4WD). And Subbie has been at the 4WD/AWD thing a bit longer than Audi. My sister had an Audi Quattro and an Audi 100, she won't have another one. Just some info... good luck in the decision...

uhh yea, that would be the ultimate buy if you would hit up a subie..those 2.5rs are killer, a lot of people around here in the subie club near drop 4th gen motors into them and pretty much have a killer 22b look alike.

After the Expedition and the blue 240 sold, I decided it would still be nice to have an extra car laying around, but I didn't want to spend any money when I needed it for my room addition. So I bought this for $650. Engine runs like new, interior is decent, exterior is decent except for missing fender and spoiler, but needs a little front end work, which I'm about to jack it up and check out. I've always loved this body style max, and I'd really like to have one of the nicest ones around.. I mean when was the last time you saw one of these in mint condition? An SE at least? and 5 speed at that?
