If you haven't already heard of this place here in Greenville, the name is "Rims and Things". They are located just of Highway 25(White Horse RD.). Check out the site http://www.rimsandthings.com, you should find the whole front clip.

Well I'm pretty sure I blew up my turbo. At least I hope that's the only source of my current problems. When I hit full boost my car bogs down. It sounds like it's dumping unburnt fuel into the exhaust. And power drops off. But the boost stays at 7. So idk. My turbo is also making this really high pitched sound. Kind of sounds like a bird chirping, but longer and more steady. Just that pitch. So I'm going to get a t28 and hopefully that will fix things. If you guys can think of anything else that could be causing those problems then let me know. thanks.

Unfortunately idk what's wrong, but it sounds like you maybe getting on the power mountain a little too fast..especially since you say that the boost controller exhibits boost creep. IMO you may want to stay w/ stock boost levels until you get all the bugs worked out.

Has anyone ever heard of using different size camshafts between intake and exhaust (ie. 256 intake, 264 exhaust)? If anyone has a link or know where there's more info, please enlighten me. I'm thinking about something, but I wanna research it a little more.

btw...Welcome back James

if you and jordan get a chance take the turbo off and check the compressor wheel and make sure its not cracked or any play in it and also check the seals. also there is nothing wrong with a homemade mbc as long as it can handle the boost pressure, ive seen alot of cars running at least 15 psi on homemade mbc's.

- first, rims and things sucks. terrible service, and youre very lucky if you get a good motor from them. took them 2 months or something riddiculous to get my friend the right ecu after he got his clip and his b16 had a ****ed up transmission.

- theres nothing wrong with a homemade mbc, i think his just needs a different spring or something. pretty sure that upping the boost just sealed the deal on the already blown turbo. but hey, upgrades are always good, and since its messing your car up it needs to be replaced aka ask your dad for a new turbo.

- stock dohc ka's run 240, 248 cams. my brother and i have s13 cams in our s14 motors.

- nicofest in nashville on july 28th?? thats my birthday hopefully i can make it and get some other people to go.

- where is this meet on the 14th????

1. Thanks for the heads up on them I looked at the website and it looked f-in terrible have the links didn't even work! Why would I buy from somebody if they can't even get a decent website to actually sell their parts. I am probably going to go with Jarco seeing as Maxima recommended them and said they were a good company to deal with and their site looks professional and they are close enough for me to go the there place of business.

2. That is not wait I meant. I didn't mean that Homemade ones are bad I am saying that the one he had was bad, but well maybe I am wrong it happens. Maybe his is ok it just needs like a single part like you said.

3.I believe he said the meet was in Myrtle Beach.

i think my buddy bought his sr from jarco. they got it pretty fast and shipped it to his door for 2800 dollars or so. he said they sent him a video of the clip running and all that too. my only thing with it was that it had almost 200k km on it which to me is insane, i would never pay that much money for a motor with that many miles on it. but it has been doing pretty good so far.

pat, those wheels look a million times better, what color is that.

Welcome to the Metro Crash, I'll probably be working this weekend so I may not be available to hook up with you all

Is anyone planning on attending Rockingham? zerothread/260337I'm stoked about it, can't wait

MB on 7/14 sounds pretty good, I don't believe there's anything going on for me that weekend. Nicofest is definitely not an option for me right now. Either way, I need to get some tires before then, it's bad enough riding around here sometimes.

scs13, your car looks really SEXY in that pic
