Black on Gold wrote:Well with seeing that your in college and your wanting to do all this to a S14 your going to spend about 80% of what it costs for a S15. I've seen a few S15's on here go for 28000 which isnt bad at all. You'll have to factor in the S14- $3000 ( at the least), S15 conversion for the front- $1300, S14 SR- $2300, S15 Rear Taillights-$600, Labor of Taillights-$2000, Paint-$800-2000, plus theres all the other things i've seen on your myspace you'd want on your car. So far thats already $10,000 and thats not including the upgrades you wanted to do
True, but I love cars so I see this as more of a labor of love then a money thing really since I am not paying for school (i was a smart that got a lot of scholarships). I don't think I will do the S15 taillight conversion now I might do it later or just find myself an S15 in 2 to 3 years when I can truly afford it.

I have to agree guys. My dream S13 would be a White Chuki Hatch with Kouki Type X Tails, Pignose Lip, and then Black meshies with polished lip

Well I put in my notice Monday and I'll no longer be a southeasterner in body in a few weeks. I'll be one in spirit though! I'll still be posting here of course too. At any rate there I just thought I should let you guys know.

Nothing wrong with a stock S15. But s15 taillights bondoed or fiberglassed onto the back of another car- that my friend is what we call rice. Those S14 taillights you posted too. No offense, it's just that 240's (and most Nissans for that matter) thrive off being just clean, simple, understated, and badass.

That said, I think that is the biggest reason I'm not happy with my wheels.

i sorta agree... it just doesnt fit the style of the car.i kno i said it looked good when you got em but.. i still had doubts in the back of my mind...it kinda disrupts the flow of the car.

Maybe if it were a lil lower

I had doubts from the start, but can't find anything better I can afford. I could always sell those, but not for enough money to get anything else decent.

Wouldn't mind having some fn01r-c's (like in the pic above) or some r32 gtr wheels, Nismo wheels. I don't know, why don't yall tell me?

rims and things here always has r32 gtr wheels and such. sometimes they have some other decent used wheels here but most of them are 5 lug so i have no use for them. i did find some fn01rc's for 500 bucks a lil while ago. and they were 17x9 and 17x10

and that kouki is baaaaaaaaaaad. theres one around here with some nice gold wheels, its pretty much perfect.

i picked up the june issue of Sport Compact Car and the buyers guide is for s13's and its titled, 1989-1994 Nissan 240SX(S13) The Car That Drifted Into Popularity. it tells about the different trim levels and what year they were produced and how many where produced. So say you wanted a 94 240 well there were only 1,391 made and they only came in a se convertible model with the four speed automatic. They even have a 1989-1994 240sx performance buyer's guide that has all kinds of parts listed in it and where to get them and the prices. so go out and buy the june issue of Sport Compact Car.

James, check out Rbmotoring.com every now and then. They have cheap wheels every now and then and carry a wide variety of them.

You are right about the fact that is doesnt fit the car when I get off of work I will post the link to the wheels that I am going to get Gunmetal too so it dosn't stand out too much.

ok guy in the sport compact car it has a part about the cars idling bad and i was wondering if any of you have a pic of what it refers to. heres what it says. "Idling problems(sometimes bad enough to stall the engine) are a common complaint, in most cases caused by the IAA valve (controls air intake to the injection system) and solved by establishing an extra ground wire and covering the original connecting cable with plastic tape."

the idle air control valve is on the back of the intake manifold, should have a purple plug on it. theres also a screw in it to adjust your idle.

ok i got this from to how to section.

Adjusting the idle is pretty straight forward:

Disconnect the TPS harness and turn the idle adj. screw on the IAA to get the car to idle at 650 rpm. Reconnect the TPS harness and your beloved should purr at 700 or so rpm. (The Factory manual gives a +/- tolerance of 50 rpm.) The IAA is at the back of the intake manifold. You can see it standing over the right (passenger side for N.A.) fender and looking at the funky device with the dime size recess for the adj. screw.

ummmm so yeah wheres that ground wire im adding going to go???? lol. i just love how there is all kind of info out there on how to fix things and non of them seem to tell you exactly which one you need to do for your exact problem. so which one should i be doing??? my car idles low and i have to hit the gas when i start it and once i let off the gas it will drop the rpm's and then they drop so low that the car cuts off. help me please people.

greg, it doesnt really matter where you put the new ground, just anywhere thats a good ground. just sand the paint off of some area around a bolt and ground it there.

Honestly, i believe im just going to fix the car to sell. I've fixed the black smoke part but im still running rich. I think its the last hose that i cant cap off. Its the farthest hardline on the TB. If you cap it off the car wont start. You wanna help me Jordan?

Maybe i'll do some minor upgrades like Rims, or Header, Downpipe, Full Exhaust
