oh yeah, I almost forgot, gr8bryt, you can make me an offer if you want, I haven't had time to think about it yet. Geez, my first day back from vacation and I'm already working like a dog. Sure didn't miss that damn van while I was gone either...

The pink car has a Yashio Factory wide body kit and the the other image is from NFS. It's the wide body kit that doesn't have the huge vents on the side. Sorry I can't be more discriptive, oh well

James, I'll see what I can scrape together and I'll probably just send you an email; I'm also looking at some other options. I called Autozone and they want like $60 just for the solenoid. I'm going to take the starter off this weekend if I have the time to see if it's rebuildable. I was talking to some of my classmates and was advised that the contacts may be dirty and just require cleaning. Another one of my classmates works @ a shop and says that he may be able to get me a new starter at cost which would be gr8 .

I was talking to both of you.

That was a nice rx7 at nopi last year. I've actually heard about it a few times since then when people destroyed their rotaries.

I'd still like to come down one weekend. I need to anyway just because I spend too much time away as it is.

So far, I am about 8K in the total swap, so needless to say its not a very costless swap! I really didnt decide to do it for the money part, I just wanted something different other that just another 500-600whp twin turbo.

that is definitely the one. I guess 8 grand is ok, since the car will probably be worth it. Is that 8k in the whole project (car and all) or just the swap?

scs13- how much are KA's going for? I haven't had a chance to see what everyone else is asking for them.

Yeah Brandon it's about time you came down again.

Actually right now as the car sits, I have around 15k invested. 8k for the swap and around 7k in cosmetic(kit, wheels, hood, paint) and interior(suede interior,tv,stereo,cf dash kit, gauges etc..)

I plan on re-painting tha car and getting new wheels after I get it back on the road. Heres a pic b4 it went in the shop...

It seems that quite a few of us are looking to do something really audatious with our cars. $15K is a modest amout of capital to invest, I was figuring that I would be somewhere around that figure for my project too. Does that amount include purchase price on the car?

That FD is

Well no matter, I'm sure that you are/will be pleased with the car and you know inside that it was all worth it. Good chassis set up on 300z+S***loads of torque= How long have you been doing your build up, how long is your car gonna be down for?

when i have the clutch sometimes and when i have the clutch in and it in gear sometimes it starts making a grinding noise or something. and i have to take it out of gear or let the clutch out too to get it to stop. also sometimes it wont go into gear at all, for a while it use to just be reverse and now its doing it with first and second sometimes. im going to try and do some thing that might fix it but i might end up using that transmission, ill have to figure out what i will have to do with it to make it work though. anyways, how does 175 or something sound for the motor and transmission and how much do you want to sell that exhaust for if you want to sell it. what kind is it again too.

August will be here b4 you know it and you'll be riding again. I've only seen those Strosek kits on Porsche's so I'm not surprised that they cost an arm and a leg. Still looks sweet though.

that z is a little too plain. the body kit on the z my brother was gonna buy was baaaaaaaaaaaaad. i might have to email myself the pictures from my phone so i can put them on here.

anyways, i put everything together correctly, torqued everything to spec, new throwout bearing, used the pressure plate from the s13 because the s14 one wouldnt line up quite right on the flywheel for some reason. i might have not put quite enough fluid in it, i put 2 quarts in it and it needs 2 and a half but i figured there should be at least that much left in it. so i am going to try putting in some synchromesh oil and see if that helps. james, get back to me asap about that motor and the exhaust, i can come and pick it up on saturday.

It does give a sleeper look but as I was searching the web for a 300 with that kit I think I'm tending to agree with scs13. I saw the car from a few other angles and it seems a little overkill, way tooo much fender in the rear. I'm pretty open minded, but I think that kit should be reserved for the porsche. The z32 already has a wide stance, that kit pushes the rear out another 52mm at least.

the front is ok, I guess, but in all it's just too much. Like I've said before I think subtlety goes a long way. If there has to be a body kit at all, I like it to enhance the look, not drop it too low or bringit out too far.

the side view reminds me of the bmw m1. if yall have ever heard of that car...

Jordan, your car sounds like it's doing exactly what mine was doing, and the reason why I took out that clutch. Of course changing the clutch didn't help. You need to bleed the clutch line more. That should reduce if not completely eliminate the problem. Try mashing the clutch in and out twice and see if it still does it once you have built up more pressure. I was looking for more like $350 for that engine set, that seems closer to what people are asking for them in the classifieds.

I'm going to tophat tommorrow to drop off my wiring harnesses in person, hopefully I'll have time to get everything done by the time I get it all back

I like the front end ok I'm not too keen on the rear end. And the sides I don't like at all.
