die thread die!! ... Dodge people go home! Everyone I know who has ever owned anything Dodge (Mopar), eventually ends up cursing its lack of quality (unless they are completely in denial). Case in point; I have a friend who loved Viper's till he drove one, then bought a Corvette instead. Another friend who has a Dodge Daytona, he is on his 3rd engine and its dying. My neighbor bought a new Dodge truck last year, its already falling apart; weather seals are coming off, rods are knocking, water pump died, leaking oil...etc. I’ve seen a video of this SRT-4 rally day, many SRT's died during that one day just from being pushed a little bit. Don't mean to hate on any one car manufacturer but they are kind of hating on the general public when they sell us that junk. Oh and has anyone seen what Dalmer Chrysler (Dodge) has done to Mercedes since they took it over... took a great classic car line and turned into junk (that’s coming from many die hard Mercedes fans). Just reporting what I see, no car company is perfect, they all have bad car lines Im sure; just seems that Dodge is worse than most.

That's why there is a lemon law to protect the consumers. But I am happy with my Srt4. Yes, SRT4 might be faster off the lot, but any car can be made fast , besides who stays in stock trim for a very long period anyhow. I am caught between two fast cars my sr20det transplanted s13 and my srt4 and competing them against each other can get very costly. After The very first time I drove my s13 after the swap, I decided to make my srt4 faster in terms of profec b, sri, SAFC II and tuning. Now I want to make my s13 faster than the srt4 again. It just never ends. The moral of is don't get your self in a never ending competion against your self bc it will ending hurting your pocket. And FYI, sr20det stock in stock trim will only put between 165~185 hp to the wheels with 1/4 et mid 14's to high 14's and srt4 is around 210~240 with et between high 13's to mid 14's. My SRT4 put down 209hp on the wheels (mustang dyno) in stock trim. Dynojet dyno numbers are usually around 10~15% higher. But now putting down 251 whp on the same mustang dyno wich should equate to 275~287 whp on dynojet, which isn't bad

i must have missed the memo...nearly 100hp per liter stock isnt impressive? wow, the srt4 does suck.

Well, since everyone is throwing in their two cents then let me say this. An SRT4 is a neon. I think the definition is a bubbley ugly *** chick car that will cost you 20 g's. I say if you wanna buy one go for it.

I enjoy my 3500$ 240 and my $4000 motor. Thats 7500 and im keepin up with SRT's. Just add about 3 more G's and I will be at half the price but twice the performance.

Oh yeah... you can quote me on this if you would like.Those SRT4's better come with a pocket-***** cause thats all the ***** you will be getting driving one...

I could make a lot comments on your last words, but I'm not that ignorant. Like I have said in the past, I have respect for all fast cars. I just don't get it. When ever I drive my S13, I don't feel my head swells up like most s13 owners. Don't give me that pride of work crap, because I have spent as much as every body else in here in their s13 or maybe even more. I guess my real conclusion is that there's a lot of un-educated idiots out there.
