What are you talking about? That looks nice to me. Tinted tal lights arent only for black cars. They look nice on white cars as well. They look good on almost all cars.

I wouldn't tint the stockies, i would go sleeper, and keep them that way until i built the rest of my car.

Here's a great build, where i got the taillight pic from.http://www.sillbeer.com/sillbe....html

I dont know...i really wanna tint them. Plus its not really a project car, its just gonna be my daily driver until i make a decision on what project i wanna do after college. Im deciding whether i wanna do a 300zx, a 240z, or maybe an s14 or a silvia.

all the more reason not to tint them.

IMHO1. The less you spend now, more you'll have later.2. Tinting them makes it harder to see your lights, in other words, if you tint them, expect to be hit from behind if stopping suddenly.3. Dont spend money on petty things like this.4. If you buy ebay parts, then you get what you paid for. IMO i would saved an extra 150 to buy a batter one.

im not trying to flame you or anything, dont take it the wrong way. Just voicing my opinion.

1. Makes sense. 2. Makes sense, but if i tint them lightly, it might work.3. Makes sense.4. Makes absolutely no sense at all. I bought a cheap ebay exhaust because i was not thinking at the time and i didnt know what was good or bad plus i had the thought in my head that i had to buy stuff that had low prices. And when you said 'I would saved an extra 150 to buy a batter one,' that makes no sense cuz the exhaust i bought was only like 120 so if you wanted to save 150, ebay would be giving you money, and plus the exhaust sounds alright, i just need to get the silencer out using a torch to bend the end and pull it out with pliers.

I don't have the mental capacity to read all 5 pages of this thread.

To ALL the subject matter experts, or those who seem to think they are, quit trying to tell the OP your opinions.

First off a DOHC is better than a SOHC only in the fact that it makes more power. That doesn't mean a DOHC is better or more reliable than a SOHC.

I know at least 20+ people who run sportmaxes and they make decent wheels. Not everyone can offord to run ridiculously $$$ wheels and in my opinion why would they with the increased theft occuring on S-chassis cars. My wheels suck, but for the price I got them for I'm not gonna complain. There are much better looking wheels but I'm not going to spend more than the retail of the car to get them.

As long as he keeps it clean who cares what parts he uses. I have a few ebay parts on my car, ones that have been on there for over 6 years with no problems. There are areas where $$$ parts aren't better than name brand, the key is knowing where you can get away with it.

What i meant was that I would have saved up an extra amount of money to get a better one.

the dohc makes more power because it has a superior design, period.

While I agree that DOHC is better than SOHC, adding another cam can hardly be described as superior design. I mean come on it's not rocket science.

the advantage of a DOHC engine over a SOHC is that the engine has twice as many intake and exhaust valves as a SOHC motor. This makes the engine run cooler and more smoothly, quietly, and efficiently.

that sounds like a superior design to me.

would you really think that something can be better while having an inferior design? that is an unreasonable statement.

Who said anything about inferior design? You seem to keep thinking that I am bashing on DOHC or something. All I'm trying to say is that adding another cam and a few more valves is not going to win you the JD Power and Associates Award.

For one the KA24DE only has 4 more valves than the KA24E, one more valve per exhaust port. That hardly qualifies as a break thru in internal combustion engine history.

Also you can run 16 valves off of one cam, ever heard of an LS1?

the ls1 is great, unfortunately that is not what we are talking about.

the simple fact is, that i told the op not to turbo the ka24e because it is inferior to the de. that is fact, the sohc version of the ka is inferior to the de version.

I think if i get a job in the next month or so, that by maybe this time next year i could afford an RB25 swap. It's only what $2295 from JSAmotors, but im gonna save up around 5 grand so i can get all of the other parts i need.

go rb last, first get suspension and brakes, worry about your power later.

and fix your paint, having a car that is one color is nice.

edit: you are 14, wtf you can't even drive your car.

get a bike.
