*EDIT* Car is a 2001 Silvia Spec-R
Last night, we got a group of friends to go out to do some 1/4mile runs just for fun...Among the cars in our group is a 2001 Nissan S15 Silvia Spec-R, and yes it is a very very clean car. I'm quite sure its 100% stock, so heres my story.
My car is a 1989 240sx coupe, mostly set up for drifting, but i do have the following "go" mods:
-Intake-3inch Cat-back Apex'i N1 Dual exhaust-Gutted Cat-Converter-b&m short shifter-Viscous LSD.
So me and the s15 decide to line up for fun, and i thought i was going to get destroyed since my motor is yet to be boosted.
We launch, and i spun pretty bad but let off in 1st to regain traction, and I was pulling the s15 in 1st. Shift to 2nd and i was still ahead, but not pulling, and by the time i shift to third the s15 is right next to me, slowly creeping by. By the upper end of 4th, which is when we let off (around 95mph), my front bumper was about 1 foot past the S15's Rear bumper, so the s15 took the win, but not by much.
I had one passenger, and my clutch is pretty toast but didn't slip TOO bad...the s15 had 2 passengers, and his clutch didn't slip.
All of this took place just after i raced my brother who was driving his KA-T s13 coupe, running only 5.7psi after he catches traction he blows by me like im not moving.
Something seem wrong here? I never really dug deep into the specs of an s15 until today, and i found they weigh about 2800 pounds also...basically the same weight as my car.
How is it that my ka with only intake and exhaust (168k miles w/ 175PSI Compression on all cylinders) kept up with an s15?
