I posted those sheets to back up KA's...because you said "It doesn't even put out 90 whp. It is in the 80's.", which is incorrect.

I was talking about SOHC once again. I put it in my posts. You are bringing information that is not relevant to the topic. I.E. DOHC stats when we are conversing SOHC stats.

some people need to understand,

just because one car loses 17% of it's power to the wheels doesn't mean that another car is going to lose 17% as well. try and find the dyno sheets of a 300whp sr20 motor, and then find a 300whp supra and see the difference. bet the crankhp won't be the same.

the only thing i can understand about u keeping up with the s15 is one of two things.

could be NA with the spec badges. people do that with stangs all the time.

could have had the worst launch, spinning first, second and third causing him to run 2 seconds slower (first time at the track?). first time i EVER ran at the track i did that exact thing and ran a 19.7 eta. learned a bit on how my car launches, and tried again lowering it to a 17.3 eta. so say a s15 runs 13.9'ish and you run 17's stock. since the s15 has more power it could spin it's tires even easier, making him possibly run 3-4 seconds slower and your bolt ons making you about a second faster (prolly not). so that'd put it to a 16-17 eta and you at about the same.

what were ur speeds btw?

I put up DOHC stats because from the factory, the motors have a difference of 15hp. The engines respond to modifications (boost or n/a) about the same when you look at dyno sheets.

And to SEDOKEN, i know that both cars won't lose the same amount of HP through the drivetrain, but with the exact same transmission and driveshaft, i think its safe to say that they will lose roughly the same amount....give or take a few.

Also, i don't know the MPH because it was not at a track, and I let off near the top of 4th (around 90)

And if you read all of whats been said, the s15 IS a Spec-R, it DID dyno at 179whp. That dyno was made on bad coilpacks, once they were replaced, the car pulled somewhere around 205whp.

Basically what im saying is SOHC and DOHC motors will produce nearly the same amount of HP (maybe a 10whp difference).

I don't know why i stayed close, it surprised me too.

Um, no dude not a 10 whp difference, like redtop said 'ideally' it would but nothing is really ideal.

One source of a stock sohc dyno is on the Project Car Magazine and it was dynoed at 86.2 rwhp.

It's a toss up between the 240 or a foxbody mustang, because with pipes they sound fast, but my friend hunter got pwned by a ghetto *** civic with a massive fart can and blue wheels...

Oh man, I've got the RB25 urge now...too expensive but soooooSEXY!

NA 4 cylinders sucka$$...8 lbs of boost changes everything. I beat my buddies S13 with my K5 Blazer!!!! It weighs in a 4200 lbs give or take so...

But I was running 12's with 14 psi and drag radials.

so most people who pull next to me in hondas and toyotas on occassion are racing me, but im not racing...im thinking that the SOHC was racing and the Spec R was not. He was probably talking on the phone, eating some Burger King, missing shifts and drunk.....wait.....he still would have won that.

cant agree with that. you have to remember the time period they were made. there werent a bunch of 200+ horsepower cars running around. Think about the 89 NA Rx7 to a 240 of the same year, compare the 89 civic and 240... compare the 89 prelude and 240...but if you compare them to different generations then its not fair. Its like comparing the Murcielago to a ford Model T and saying the model t was a pretty sucky car for its time.

i don't think you guys got the point that i know the person who owns the spec-r, he came with us TO RACE, it wasn't just some random thing on the street. a stock spec-r will run what, 13.9 with a good driver and good launch? you guys talk about a spec-r like i'm trying to say i kept up with a mclaren or something.....

would anyone like to provide maybe one dyno for a SOHC that wasn't the project car mag dyno? it seems thats the only one people have....and ONE source, with cars, is not reliable(you can't expect me to believe that since there car dyno'd at 86whp all SOHC's will)....and if for some reason my SOHC dyno'd at anywhere near that WHP, there is something terribly wrong with the S15. I know the guy who owns the s15, we lined up intending to race.

Every time you post without a link to the video you make yourself more and more of a liar. No one post in here any more until the video is up.

I never came in here because I really dislike the KA in NA form. You guys lack a moderator because...well I don't really have an answer to that one. I know enough to help out, so I'm taking KA under my wing sorta speak.

drftsilvia, Jerry Maguire style, SHOW ME THE MONEY (replace MONEY with VIDEO!!). I agree with redtop, until you produce proof we are not going to believe you no matter what you argue and you will continue to make it seem like you are trying to defend a lie. You might be telling the truth, but put yourselves in our shoes and tell me, would you believe a statement such as your's? Probably not. That's all we're saying. Bring the VIDEO proof and then we'll see.
