I think his tale was more peyoty induced or not? Maybe the prevous owner square decked the block when he/she rebuilt it. Ever think of that?!?

This thread does nothing but show the age and maturity level of the 240 and KA croud as a whole. I'm embarressed to be part of it. Grow up all of you...

To the OP, DO NOT POST GARBAGE IN ANY OF MY FORUMS!!!

I could BAN quite a few of you for posting the things you have and I would if this idiotic thread didn't dumb me down to the level of a dumb ape.

The next person who post's smileys like that or haha anymore then I just did, gets an instant vacation

If it was a KA24DE, I may agree

Behave guys, obviously some of our members are off of their Meds

If you have issue with the way I handled this, please email me at [email protected] or AIM WDRacin, I'm sure we can handle it

I'm slowly figuring out that you guys basically have no Moderator in here...LOL. That thread is clean enough to stay open. Nothing wrong with a little mindless talk between friends man...besides, where would I even move that to? Only the KA croud could appreciate that thread

I'll be looking in here ALOT more often though :moon

He didnt say he won. If i ran even with a 350z, when i had full exhaust, underdrive pulley, and a nismo R4 cam, I dont see why its so much of a problem to everyone when he says a S15 Silvia beat him.

No you didnt!!! He must not have been racing then..I dont go around saying i beat Dodge Vipers,And C6 Zo6's...So with those mods on your sohc you must have been making around 140-150 TOPS at the wheels right..And doing a 1/4mile i what 15.00-15.8 pending your other mods..Sorry but a stock 350z will put down over 220rwhp and run 14.5 to 13.9 depending on the driver..

Someone please lock this,Please Its making me mad and giving the KA folk a bad name..

SOHC KA puts out 98whp. With those mods he still wouldn't be over 120.

I don't know how many of you guys have actually driven a SpecR S15...I drove my Boss's when I was in Japan. It was very quick with no lag to speak of. If I go back, it'll be a toss up between a S15 and a GTR.

My S14 SE in street trim with just an intake, exhaust was WAY slower then the S15. We're talking about double the WHP here...

The S15 would have to be running on 3 cylinders to lose...literally...and then it would be close.

The s15 dyno'd at I believe 179 whp. I've heard it was due to some ignition problems, or something along those lines. I lived in eugene up until about 1 month ago, we only have 1 dyno there and numbers tend to get spread around quickly.. especially when an s15 puts down 179 whp lol!

Car's for sale for $40,000 if you're interested
At least this person has actually seen the s15 im talking about.

Oh, and to the people who for some reason keep saying something along the lines of "theres no way you BEAT the s15", your right, and i never said i did beat it. I said I stayed at his rear bumper.

And how would it be more believeable with a DOHC? I haven't raced any DOHC N/A ka's that pull me with my SOHC, i'd always end up pulling by a car length or more... at least on 2 s13's with DOHC, and 1 s14 that was obviously DOHC.

Also, to whoever said a sohc puts out 98whp, prove it. Give me a dyno sheet from the KA that is brand new, because that is the only way you could say that EVERY SOHC should be about the same....just because someone dyno'd there probably high mileage SOHC doesn't mean that that 1 dyno should be a base line for all SOHC's.

Dyno your SOHC. I was wrong earlier. It doesn't even put out 90 whp. It is in the 80's. Maybe for the first 100 rpms of the first gear you could do it but beyond that you would not even stay at his bumper. Like we've been saying, we know you are lying because you haven't produced the videos you said you'd have to prove it. Doubtless you'll come up with some lame excuse like "The S15 guy is busy" but it doesn't matter. Talk is cheap. You are not going to talk anyone into believing your story so your best bet would be not to continue arguing until you produce video.

The video better show the hood open of the car, the NA KA24E and then the driver immediatly getting into the car and beating said S15. Other then that, it didn't happen. Its simple physics...you can't argue fact.

If the S15 wasn't racing or it was broke are your only two options...and bragging about either is retarded.

Also under the hood of the S15. As regards the dyno sheets for the SOHC, Project Car dyno'd theirs. The sheets are in there. With the bolt ons you have you might be at 100whp.

When we run again, i'll film it showing both cars, hoods popped, etc etc. This s15 did dyno at 179whp though, so its obviously not as healthy as it could be...but if its video you want, then ill get a video the next time the race happens.

Also, here's a few DOHC dyno sheets....

http://www.ka24development.com/dyno_charts.html

The BONE STOCK 96 240 made 129.7hp, and 144 Ft-lbs, at the WHEELS. The SOHC dyno's you speak of must be in terrible shape to be making anywhere under 100whp.

So the topic changes to, "I almost beat a broken S15"...that I'm more willing to believe. If you take a bad driver and a broken S15 then its possible you hung with him.

I don't mean to be such a d!ck here. But you'll have to understand where we're coming from. A new guy comes in and says some fairly outragious stuff. Of course you're going to catch some flack.

Why quote DOHC stats when yours was a SOHC? Like I mentioned before DOHC KA's are very different from SOHC.

from the factory the SOHC and DOHC have a 10-15hp difference, i quoted the DOHC because...

If from the factory, a dohc is said to be 155hp and made 130whp, thats about a 17% drivetrain loss. SOHC's are said to be from the factory 140hp, and when you factor in the 17% loss (since the transmission is the same, the loss should be about the same) then that means a sohc should make about 115WHP bone stock. Anything less than that is more than likely due to a motor that is in bad shape.

Oh so an 18 year old motor is in ideal shape? I highly doubt you have rebuilt your SOHC so you are not even making 115. I'd say that you are making about 110. I could argue over 5 whp all day but 110, 115? Doesn't matter. We're competing against 180 whp. Big difference regardless of how much your SOHC makes.
