s*** son! your car is what i want mine to be like. the interior is sick.

hey were did you get the velocity stack to put o nthe turbo. you should polish your compressor housing. we need more pics of the turbo. like the A/r side and such.

thats the t4 gt35 correct.

waht are you doing for your wastegates will they run down farter and dump out or what.

no offense on the bride interior but i think that is over done. seems like every car that hasa sick interior has bride all over everything. sure it looks cool. but i like just clean black seats lol

thank you, im really working hard to get it the way i want to look like...
idahotuner wrote:hey were did you get the velocity stack to put o nthe turbo.
the turbo trumpet was purchased from jeggs.com for $60 shipped
idahotuner wrote:you should polish your compressor housing. we need more pics of the turbo. like the A/r side and such.
i know i should have the compressor polished but funds are getting exhausted and prefer to not do it right now
idahotuner wrote:thats the t4 gt35 correct.
the turbo is actually a GT3076R 4" inlet and 2.5" outlet turbine is ar .86... im now regretting not having ordered a 35R though, but im sure that with the stuff ive ordered and my BC 264 in 272 ex cams should help out greatly
idahotuner wrote:what are you doing for your wastegates will they run down farter and dump out or what.
im going to have a Y pipe connect to to both and dumping much lower than where they are, i dunno if i leave it like it could catch on fire or something...
idahotuner wrote:no offense on the bride interior but i think that is over done. seems like every car that hasa sick interior has bride all over everything. sure it looks cool. but i like just clean black seats lol
just noticed that myself on the bride however i had those since last year and we just had a chance to put them on so i dunno i guess when i first got them it was different... however they're to expensive to go back and order other ones! not to mention that they arethe ones with the better looking ones anyways.

the car should go to the dyno this week (weds) so after few things are finished on the car like i/c piping and other small things then thats when i'll post some other pics and whatnot

have you seen the newest realsed graph from full race.

have you bought staggered cams yet i wouldnt stagger them if it was me.

i understand that about the seats. and i do agree that they look good.

i am stoked to see how this does o nthe dyno.

well, thats an awesome graph, i think now im really liking my 3076R even more i think right around 4k rpm its about the sweet spot for a mild modified sr20 but thats just my opinion.

yeah ive got stagger cams since there was some things i noticed about this engine and that is that everything to do with the exhaust side of it is bigger than the intake for intance the valves are much bigger than the intake side of it so i figured why not give it a try to see what can happen... i also did ordered their dual valve spring and t/i retainers kit (BC 0240)so i should work ok.... i hope!

can you tell/explain me why you think its not a good idea to stagger cams? ive read all of the cams threads and there wasnt any conclusive info about it being bad/good. nor much of any other set ups other than if "you going to do it right then get TOMIE cams" and "at the very least you should buy HKS cams" thats why i decided to go with BC cams and valves/retianer kit.let me know the 411 on this if you can.

Man. I missed this thread also. I am doing a similar build (upgrade). I am debating the TS manifold though and going with either GT3071R or GT3582R (if I get the TS mani). I don't like the idea of losing my ac too much.

Looking good on the build for the interior and exterior alike. Keep th updates coming.

thats a big difference in turbos to be debating over! almost comparing oranges to apples... i mean the 71R is big but nothing close to a 35R much less a 3582R but either way i'd rather go with the 76R as i did...
roplusbee wrote: I don't like the idea of losing my ac too much...
you dont have to either, specially if you roder the full-race twin w/g mani... its made specially so you can keep the a/c and p/s with their manifold!!! you do have to do a lot to make it work which in fact its much easier if the a/c wasnt there but im hoping to be able to move back to FL so the a/c is must!!!

Nothing wrong with running staggered cams. I've been running staggered HKS 264/272 step 2's for years, after initially running straight 264's.

It all just depends on your setup.

did you get a noticible gain upon changing for the 272 cam? what was the change in you car... i mean there's a lot talk that the stagger would allow for the turbo spool a "bit faster and to hold a bit longer..." so i was hoping to prove this theory true and making sure im able to as such as i going to add cam gears to adv the intake and retar the ex a few clicks and make it better...

It's hard to say what the exact gains in power were, because I also had some headwork done, a radius valve job, and 1mm oversized valves installed at the same time.

With the 272 exhaust cam and all the headwork, we did lose a couple hundred rpm of spool, but gained it up top. Cam gear tweaking may be able to fix the loss in spool, but I never purchased an adjustable set.

It's starts dropping off up top because the stock ignition was breaking up. Installed an HKS Twin-Power and cured it.

wow thats a sick power band!!! thats a whole lot head work done to be able to assume what the gain was... well im guess im just going to have to find out. where did you get your head work done at? thats the only thing i cant do b/c i really dont have that kinda skills... to rip apart the engine and put back together myself, anyone willing to teach me?!

are you reffering to the W/G dumps? If so, they're just going to go down close to the DP and dump right there into the atmosphere... i know i will be causing more damage to the ozone layer and not helping with the global warming but oh well... besides this car is only a weekend worrior i swear! >>>>>NOT!

well after a long time, i finally got my car tuned and let me tell you im abit happy and a bit disappointed at the same time...

the car is making 400 whp at 7100 rpm... however the shop where i took it to, said that it was very strong being that it made 400 on 16 lbs of boost only!

after i get a EBC he'll make a 100 oct tune on about 28-30 psi to make about 550 whp, i should be posting the dyno sometime this week... still in the sandbox so i have to wait til i getit from my bro.
