Monthly Indy area Meets!

I will be a few hours late. The insulation is up in the garage. We will probably be eating in Castleton, so I will hop over to BW's when I am done. I promised my father in law dinner for helping me with some projects around the house and use of his F-150. See you guys there tonight.bud

I know, and Im gonna do that next time.... My plan next time is to have a bunch of people go down to the mall, and then I'll branch off, since I hate shopping.....

Fred gave me a ring and told me about. At first he said it was a *little bit of a drive* to get to the meet, then he said it was in Indy. I was like uh, yea, a *little bit* of a drive indeed.

I would love to have made it, but I dont have my s14 (getting some work done) and plus its a long trip to Indy, and I had to work later than I thought. So, sorry guys. Hope you all have fun. I feel your pain Wes, by the way, heh.

Haha..... I had some other things coincedentally going on that I COULDNT get around (that I was just recently informed of)..... So Ill try and make it next time.... Hopefully Fred will make it next time with the oil......

All in all it was a good meeting. We didnt raffle off the oil, so Wes you can win it next time! We met at BW3's and hung out for a bit. We went over to Andy's parents house to inspect the old and new Q45. Hung out a bit there and watched Simsled put fog-lights on his buddy's car. Then we stopped over to a Starbucks for a coffee before what was left of us headed out.

Ben,Anytime you want to make the trip to Indy and need a place to stay, just let me know. I know its a big concern for you parents if you go on an out of town trip. I respect that about your and Wes's parents. The Shipe household is pretty tame and would put your parents at ease. The worst thing that could happen to you is my Lab licking your face in the morning. And if it were Sunday morning you would have to go with us to Church, trust my I have tried to get out of it.

Hopefully Fred wil be able to make it next time....

I really wanted to see Fred's old Q, as I may be buying some parts from it.....

Maybe sometime you or someone else could have a little convo with my parents to put them at ease..... I am not gonna lie to them, its just not something that Im gonna do....

I would hope that you dont lie to your parents. It is a great way to create mis-trust between you guys. I would be happy to talk to your parents about what goes on at a NICO meet.

When I was your guys age..

I had my own place (last year of HS) with no shower and cold flowing water and once crossed 4 international borders w/o my parents knowlegde.

I Think you all need to do a meet right before or after christmas (just because I'll be up here again) otherwise your all welcome to come down to FL and I'll put you up in a place to stay. Granted there are fox holes that are nicer than my apt. but it's still free and you would have your own bed. heh

anyhow, that was fun... I havn't seen or hung out with my freind Dan (boosted maxima guy) in a while so that was kinda cool too.

Paul, it was good to see you again. Let me know when you'll be back for Christmas and we'll plan a time to meet up.

Thanks to Fred and everyone else that made the trip to the meet. Wes, the Q is in my parents' garage, so let me know when you want to come down and we'll set that up. Anderson is only 30 minutes from there. Hell, I drive longer to get to work every morning.

Do you guys wanna setup something again before christmas??? It doesnt matter to me wether we do it (and if im not doing something already I'll be there), but peoples busy schedules might conflict that....

I vote for doing something before the end of the year since I missed the last meet (work sucks, not enough advance notice but thats ok). For sh*ts and giggles I'm gonna vote for anytime the week of Christmas because I took that whole week off for vacation. I have a feeling that even meeting for part of one day during this week will not work for many but I figured why not throw it out there, since I do have it off. If thats not good, fine, just try and give a 2 week notice so I can try and get that day off.

^actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Gibbo80 will be back during that week from boot camp, so maybe him and I would be able to come down to Indy and hang out with you guys.

Christmas is on a Thursday so we'll of course leave that and Christmas eve and from there sunday, monday, tuesday, friday, saturday. Any one with a vote for a specific day???

Bud could the 23rd work for you even though you work that day? I want to steer clear of Christmas Eve because many ppl will want to stay at home and I'm sure alot of places will be closed.
