This one's for you Dee - NO WAY I can run 20W50 here. The highs right now are running around freezing and getting down to close to zero at night. I don't think my poor motor would even turn over!

Daimler Chrysler and Mitsubishi were never 'partners'. Daimler Chrysler was a major stock holder for Mitsubishi motors for years. Even more recently (2001), Daimler Chrysler bought Volvo's (yes, they were major stock holders too) chunk of the Mitsubishi Motor's stock...that gave them 37.3% ownership over the company. Mitsubishi owns 34% stake. So actually, Daimler Chrysler owns more of Mitsubishi motors than Mitsubishi does!

BTW, if anyone is wondering why Mitsubishi has been in great financial stress in recent times, it's because their popularity level in Japan went down tremendously after they admitted in August of 2000 that since 1977, they had covered up over 64,000 faulty vehicle complaints to keep from having to do vehicle recalls! Yeah, they suck. :p

you know, I did wanted one when it was still in the stage of production and everyone thought it was going to be AWD. but I scratched the Idea when I found out the SRT-4 was FF.SRT-4 = $21,000+/- $3,00091 240sx + RB26DET + Install = around $15,000+/- $1,000

ahh, i'd go for the RB 240sx, has 40hp more and about $5,000 less.

just my 2cents

GRRR, Okay the 4g3 was offered in the (US) in the 90-94 turbo and na DSMs, and the 95-99 turbo only DSMs and 91-92 galant VR4s(okay, also the older Colt mirage turbos used a 1.6 liter version of the 63 called a 61).

The motor that powerd the 2g NAs(not spyders) was a mopar 420a that was the same as the twin cam neons. As far as I know the motor in the neon is just a stroked 420a. The onlything on that car thats mitsu is the turbo, Its a td04 16g with a intergrated ex manifold and turbine housing. Any way, The older 63s (non evo8) trannys site on the oppisite side from each other.

oops. almost forgot the 1g na single cam 1.8s, and the 2g spyder na 4364 single cam. There has never been a AWD neon made for street use, You can say its a neon all you want but they are fast and cheap.

I was refering to the older gen 1 neons, Thats why a hahn turbo kits(sh@t) works on both. From what I understand (NOT 110%) the motor in the new neons is a stroked 420a. They have had that motor in Mexico for a while powering turbo dodge strutases(is that a word, Strati?) Before it came here. i will have to check, Im just saying that its not a Mitsubishi motor.

He's coming to the hood! And Aaron, I'm going to take a ride up there tomorrow and catch them off guard. Wednesday I accidentally drilled a hole clean through my middle/left finger and I had to go for emergency repairs, so I've been kinda slow rollin'. But I'll let you know what the deal is tomorrow with that car!

In reference to what Aaron was talking about I went and saw The Urge last night. Yes they broke up, but they're on a reunion tour. It was AWESOME!!! If you know who The Urge is at all, I HIGHLY recommend going to a show if it's within a few hours drive. Yea, it was that good. I love The Urge!

Like I said, it drives okay, but I hope you got a good body man.

hey D check your e-mail! I sent you pics of what he sent me. Can you tell me if it looked anything like it? Also could you be a little me specific in how you think it MIGHT make it back to my house? Did it drive like $*%( or what made you come to that conclusion?

It drove okay, but he didn't sound like he cared if you made it back or not. He just wants to make a sell. The car cranked right up and the clutch is pretty good. The fluids looked good enough to drive with, but then again it's a KA24E, so surprises could very well be lurking. I think it will make it back, but then again, i don't trust the KA24Es and their dramas.

Great.....Now I just need to see if he will give me back my deposit. He stated that it was "non-refundable" but that was also for a car that was supposed to run great and the body was only "a little rough, nothing big, just the bumper".

Hey Boost, you know of any other 240s down there that are for sale around the same price? Preferably ones that would make it back here?
