I know several SRT-4 owners well.There is one here that has several mods and is spraying a 75shot.He is one of the hardist cars to beat in this area.The whole group should be at the Big spring meet to run the 1/4.I think that the one with the N/X kit should run 12's.

aight to clear some numbers upThe srt 4 does a 13-7 to 14.1 depends the magazines preety much. There is really no different in the 03 model and 04 model except the lsd. Some people say the 04 has different computer work for the injectors but i have not seen it to be proven. I have seen both a 03 and a 04 run and there dead even rolling start. And both drivers know how to drive it wasnt with the driver. also the car has 230 horsepower and 245 torque boosting 14 pounds and i have seen spikes of bout 17 pounds. Htis is in miami. Sea level.

Now the protege is slow. Its only got about 170 horsepower. My friend has a protege 5 and he raced a mazda speed and the speed beat him by half a car and then his protoge caught up to computer top end at 135 mph. There no big numbers on the mazdas but holy shyt those cars can handle. bOth the protege 5 and mazdaspeed. my friend in his protoget has came of an off ramp at 85 miles an hour and the car stuck. Weve gone threw crasy stuff with his car and when it comes to handeling there is nothing that i have seen compared to it. And there brakes are the same.

But Great win with the srt-4 get some bigger tires and ull get him by even more. I guarentee you that youll beat him both of the whole and top end. With your bigger turbo. The dodge's power is after 3000 rpms but the power stays constand till about 4500 5000 rpm.

The 04 have dynoed over 240+ hp. Some guy did it, ill have to find the link.

The 04's have the Mopar stage 1 upgrade already done.

Here in Miami I haven't seen many of those cars (I think 4 since they've debuted), but nontheless I would love to catch an unsuspecting one slipping on I-75 because school is in and I love tutoring:) . Hey boost boy.Yea you can say were crazy but we wanted to go to the limit with the car.and also it was in west palm not miami. and it was at 3 am no one around if we wouldve lost it it was our life no one else.

and to the thing of mopar are you sure everything is installed of the stage one. cause ive read that its actually just the computer work but nothing else. I could be wrong

I found this link, they say its comuter work and injectors, which is about the same as a stage 1 for a 03.

I still havent found the dyno to that one stock 04 SRT4 but its was done by Apex Technology and they supposedly got 248 whp.

Man, This talk is getting me hyped. I want my car done now. I have the clip in the garage and the car in the street. I havent had a kill in over a year back when the VR4 was up. Unless you count the one time where I didnt know we were racing. To be honest I havent seen any fast SRT-4s in my area(DFW). Im sure there here, And if the are I WILL find them lol.

I want to get my car up too, I haven't had a kill since the nonturbo 3000gt last summer. Of course, this was in a Fiero, a 20 year old car, and I didn't know he was racing. I woulda raped him offa tha line.

It isnt a DSM...

I was under the impression that its the same motor used in the eclipse....I believe the 420a just bored and stroked. The only difference is in the head, might wanna check on that though. Anyways, hey D yeah if your not doing anything sure I can e-mail you all the flight info. All we really plan on doing is hangin g out on the beach. I thought it was a 4G64 (2.4 block used in Galants and Convertible Eclipses and the new Eclipse) with a 4G63 head.But an SRT guy told me it wasnt.

It isnt a Mitsu engine (DSM) That partnership ended in '99.
